“Hmm? You’re saying you’re not comfortable by his side?” replied Zayne in a playful tone.

Upon hearing that, Xavia went silent. It seemed that the more she tried to explain herself, the messier things would get! With that in mind, she quickly tried to change the topic by saying, “…I… need to use the bathroom!”

Watching as the panicked Xavia then rushed out, Zayne couldn’t help but smile before saying, “I get why you treat her so differently now. From what I’ve seen, she’s much more interesting and adorable compared to other girls. She’s pretty fun to tease too.”

Tossing a pillow at Zayne’s head in response, Zivon then replied, “She’s no toy, so I don’t know what you’re talking about. Regardless, go dissect a corpse if you’re this free.”

A corpse?! He’d never touch another, even if the alternative was getting beaten to death! With that, Zayne rapidly shook his head before declaring, “W-well I’m off to do my rounds! See you later…!”

Moving back to Xavia, she was currently washing her face with cold water to cool herself down.

How embarrassing… She had placed that pillow there to prevent him from getting too close, yet in the end, that failed to do the trick. The fact that she had remained with him in bed long after he had woken up only served to make her feel more pathetic…
