The person who had done the deed was none other than the chisel-faced Kevin who had just returned. Looking gloomy as ever in a black, custom-made suit, Kevin then growled, “Did you just curse Jenna to remain in a coma for the rest of her life?! To think that someone as disgusting as you exists!”

Xavia herself—who clearly hadn’t expected to get slapped out of the blue—could only glare at him as her right cheek burned with pain. Had it not been for her high self-restraint, she would’ve surely stabbed him to death by now…!

Furious to see how resentfully Xavia was glaring at him, Kevin then added, “…The hell are you looking at? Was any of what I said wrong? Regardless, your wish won’t come true! After all, I’ve managed to hire a doctor from abroad, renowned in treating comatose patients!”

Following that statement, a tall, robust man entered the room. Though the doctor didn’t say a word—as he greeted everyone by giving them slight nods—, Xavia couldn’t help but notice that the man stared at her with a rather odd gaze before eventually moving toward Jenna’s bed to check on her.

Did… she know him from somewhere…? Why did he look at her so oddly…? While she was curious, she knew that now wasn’t the time to think about such things. Xavia just hoped that Jenna could soon be cured…

Regarding Kevin’s slap, she could always find a chance to return the favor someday.

Whatever the case was, after checking on Jenna’s condition for a while, the doctor eventually flipped through his medical records before getting to his feet and saying, “…From what I’ve managed to gather, this patient is different compared to most other comatose patients.”

“You see, she was extremely healthy before she fell into her coma, and she seems to have great willpower to fight against it as well. While this would usually be good news, unfortunately several of her body functions are unable to function normally. What more, parts of her brain also appear damaged. With that said, waking her up won’t be easy… I do, however, have a plan that I could try out. However, I’ll first need to speak with this lady here in private…” explained the doctor as he looked at Xavia.

Naturally, this startled her. What could he possibly want to discuss with her?

In response, Mrs. Lockhart quickly said, “Regardless of your plan, we’ll surely provide our full assistance, doctor! With that said, feel free to elaborate on the plan.”

“Apologies, but this treatment plan has to involve her twin sister. Also, I never reveal my plans.”

“…I… see… Then… do cooperate with the doctor, Xavia. Do everything he tells you to, understand?” muttered Mrs. Lockhart.

Watching as the ignorant girl shook her head, the doctor then helplessly explained, “Well… you have the rarest blood type. So rare, in fact, that it’s even rarer than panda blood. Regardless, your blood is precious and can be used to treat all the other blood types. What more, it can also be used for disease recuperation.”

“With all that said, if you give Jenna a blood transfusion, I believe that it will stimulate her other cells, allowing Jenna to finally awaken in about half a month. However, as I said, your blood is incredibly rare. With that said, should something happen to you, finding a blood donor won’t be easy. I propose that you start storing blood at a blood bank in case of a personal emergency. Just think it through.”

Despite how calmly the doctor had said all that, his words were honestly near-unbelievable for Xavia. With that, the flabbergasted woman was prompted to say, “A-are you sure you’re not mistaken, doctor…? After all, I don’t think that there’s anything special about me… Besides, Jenna and I are twins, so we should share the same blood type, right…?”

“I, for one, am certain of it. After all, everyone has their blood type recorded in the blood bank shortly after they’re born. To clarify, I coincidentally found out about this while looking into Jenna’s condition at the blood bank. As for how you two have different blood types… let’s just say that medical miracles exist.”

Upon hearing that, Xavia fell silent. To think that her blood type was this special… Would using her blood to save Jenna now cause her trouble in the future…?
