Chapter 800
Anne walked over, shaking her head with resignation at how sweet–tongued her children were.
“Grandma will never get tired of cooking for your mom and you guys. I have endless energy for that!” Sarah patted their heads endearingly.
Even if it was exhausting, all her hard work was worth it.
The five took their seats for breakfast.
“Mama, Grandma, can we go see Grandpa today?” Chloe asked.
“It’s been a few days!” Charlie said.
“We can go on our own as well!” Chris suggested.
“Sure thing. Why don’t you three come with us later?” Anne asked.
Anne took the triplets with her to the hospital and checked with the nurse on the latest update regarding Nigel’s condition.
She was informed that there was no change, but the nurse added, “That pianist came by last night.”
“Alone?” Anne asked.
“Yes. She left with her eyes all red. I guess she cried in there,” the nurse said.
Both Sarah and Anne remained quiet as they did not see any issue with Bianca’s visit. After all, Bianca was still Nigel’s daughter and it was normal for her to be worried about her own father.
After the nurse left, Sarah said to Anne, “People who care this much about their parents are usually good people, so how’s Bianca an exception to that? Sure, she’s afraid that going to steal Anthony from her, but that’s not your fault!”
you are Anne glanced at the triplets surrounding Nigel and said, “As if. I can go after anything, but not others‘ men. Whatever. I don’t want to be bothered by that.”
“That’s true. My daughter doesn’t need to steal someone else’s man. We have so many eligible bachelors after us that we need to take time filtering them,” Sarah said.
Anne’s heart dropped. “Is Dad…”
“I don’t know what’s going on. His heart just stopped out of the blue. They are trying to revive him right now. It’s going to be alright, right?” Sarah muttered helplessly.
“It’s going to be alright. Don’t panic. I’m heading over now!” Anne hung up and darted out of the office, before heading for the elevator.
How could this happen? Nigel was fine when she left?
Anne wondered for a moment if this was a good sign, as Kathryn had mentioned that a response was better than none at all.
When she arrived at the hospital, Anne hurried toward the operation room, just in time to hear Kathryn say to Sarah, “I’m sorry. He’s gone.”
Anne’s purse and phone slipped out of her hands as tears scrolled down her expressionless face.
“That’s not possible! No way!” Sarah shouted, “He was fine just now. How could he die? It’s not possible! I don’t believe you!”
