Boyle had kept plenty of fish in the pond he made in the backyard of the Lake street Villa.
Boyle had gone out to work on a random day and since Cherie was bored, she decided to feed the fish.
Cherie was sitting at the edge of the pond scattering fish food all over the vast open pond.
It was rare for Cherie to walk over to the entrance to greet Boyle when he returned home from work. However, this time she did and she cracked a huge smile at him.
After that, she reached out and grabbed the jacket he took off before saying, "Welcome home, hubby."
Boyle frowned before a bright glint flashed across his eyes as he stared at her little smiling face with a peculiar look.
"What did you just call me?"
Cherie cracked a huge smile, revealing her pearly whites as she said, "Hubby."
Boyle carried his little wife and started kissing her in his arms.
That was because the way she addressed him was far too seductive to resist.
A certain someone seemed to not have realized the situation she put herself in as she continued calling him with a seductive tone, "Oh my dear hubby, Boyle."
Boyle could not hold himself back.
He spent a long time kissing his wife.
Boney picked up a fish from the pond and brought it over to them while they were having dinner.
Boyle seemed a little annoyed as he wondered if Boney actually knew how to catch a fish from the pond.
Thus, Boyle decided to head over to the backyard and have a look. However, it turned out that all of his expensive fish were all floating on the surface. They were all dead.
Boyle was completely speechless.
Cherie was helplessly blinking her eyes at him as she said, "Hubby, I fed them according to what you told me. Your fish are just too picky now."
The corners of Boyle's eyes twitched as he asked, "How much food did you feed them?"
Jelly Bean replied, "I was worried that they might be hungry so I decided to toss the entire bag of fish food into the pond. Hubby, just look at how well I treated your fish!"
Boyle was speechless.
"Madam Lawson, fish won't starve to death but they will eat themselves to death."
Jelly Bean simply replied, "Oh." She continued, "I just wanted to treat them better!"
Boyle found the whole situation funny as he reached out and patted her little head and said, "Cherie, but you treated them way too well."
…
Cherie seemed to have already fallen asleep in Boyle's arms in the middle of the night.
Boyle stared at his little wife who was sound asleep in his arms and felt incredibly satisfied. Since he was not feeling too tired, he gently withdrew his arm from her embrace before quietly getting out of bed.
He went to his study after that.
Boyle was dressed in casual clothes as he sat on his chair before opening a small hidden drawer at the bottom corner of his desk. There were a lot of thick journals in the drawer. However, Cherie would never look through this drawer because most of the journals in there were work related.
[I failed my first attempt for my SAT exams because of Hanson's crimes. It was also because of him that my life was filled with so much darkness. How could I even want to willingly recall memories about that little ten year old girl that was kidnapped back then? I only wanted to forget everything about it.
[However, after I learned that the girl turned out to be Cherie Fudd, I found myself constantly returning to this memory.
[She was being held in a dark mouldy kitchen back then. When she noticed me entering with my flashlight, although her mouth was being taped shut by duct tape, she was able to let out muffled cries. She was begging me to save her with those clear beady eyes.
[Both of her hands and legs were bound by a rope and her initial clean snow white face was filthy. It seemed that her soft long hair had not been washed for days. Due to how filthy the surrounding was, her hair seemed to be stuck to her little face. She was staring at me while she silently cried.
[I knew that Hanson only kidnapped this little girl to extort money from her family.
[I immediately ripped her black duct tape off her mouth. However, when I did, she started screaming her lungs out from being frightened, so I immediately covered her mouth and warned her not to make a single sound by whispering into her ear.
[That was because if she screamed, she would attract the attention of that person and it would make the situation even more complicated.
[She was bright and after realizing that I meant well, she frantically pleaded with me with a sad voice, "Can you please get me out of here? I can give you money."
[However, upon noticing my silence, she started staring at me with her incredibly huge eyes as she frantically pleaded, "How much money do you want? I can give you any amount of money as long as you're able to get me out of here. My dad can give you a lot of money."
[I really wanted to save her and I don't want her money but it's all because of Hanson being my own father and if Hanson was actually charged as a kidnapper, I'd be his accomplice because I did nothing to save her.
[I can't follow that b*stard Hanson's footsteps.
[I will save this girl but I can't release her just like that though because if I did, Hanson will no doubt suspect that it was my doing and he'll beat me to death.
[I told her, "I can save you but I'll need some time."
[She was panicking as she pouted her little lips while tears rolled down her eyes. She told me with a frown, "I haven't seen my daddy in days now. I want to go home. Can you hurry up and get me out of here?"]
