Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 965

Verian took off her apron and walked out from the kitchen as she said, "Madam Leah and I are done cooking. Harrison, you can call your sister and Boyle over. She can sleep after she's done eating."

Just as Harrison was about to call them, he noticed the Maybach that was parked at the courtyard had its door open.

Both Boyle and Cherie got out of the car and were walking toward the house.

Harrison exclaimed, "They're coming."

Old Master Fudd pushed his preion glasses up the bridge of his nose and took a good look at Boyle.

"Whoa, he’s quite the handsome man and is pretty tall too. Hey, Harrison, who's taller between the two of you?"

Harrison had never actually made a serious comparison with him before but based on a glance, they looked to be about the same height.

Heaton was displeased as he said, "Have you never seen a handsome man before, dad? Both your son and grandson could compete against his looks."

OId Master Fudd said, "What nonsense are you talking about? Do you think you're that impressive? I was told that Jelly Bean's boyfriend built a business empire in America in just seven years."

Harrison said, "Grandpa, you're too biased. How could you side against your own family? We should be a team to defeat the enemy."

Old Master Fudd scoffed and said, "I'm not being biased and I'm only speaking the truth. Besides, you and your father are a team while I'm going to be a team with Jelly Bean so don't try to stop me."

Heaton exclaimed, "Dad, it's fine that we don't usually get along and I'm willing to let it slide since you're much older. My purpose today is to butt heads with Boyle who is snatching your beloved granddaughter away, not you."

Old Master Fudd continued to scoff as he said, "Who wants to butt heads with you anyway?"

Harrison sighed as he thought to himself, 'This family is way too immature. It’ll be embarrassing if Boyle was to see this.'

Verian brought out some plates and cutleries from the kitchen as she spoke with a smile, "Dad, you all were just fine earlier so why are you guys arguing now?"

Old Master Fudd said, "It was Heaton. He keeps trying to start fights with me and if he skips even a day, he'll feel very uncomfortable with himself!"

Boyle and Cherie had just entered the house.

Cherie exclaimed, "Grandpa!"

Old Master Fudd immediately cracked a warm and compassionate smile as his earlier bitter expression faded away completely. "Oh! Jelly Bean, hurry over and let me take a good look at you!"

Cherie rushed over and immediately hugged Old Master Fudd. The old man excitedly twirled his granddaughter's hands around.

Old Master Fudd whispered to his granddaughter, "Hurry up and cheer your father up. Your father is here to make things difficult for your boyfriend. He even explicitly mentioned it!"

Cherie smiled and said, "Thanks for the heads up, grandpa."

Boyle walked over to them and politely greeted everyone.

Old Master Fudd absolutely adored him.

However, Heaton did not even glance at Boyle once.

Verian was a gentle person as she cracked a gentle smile at Boyle before saying, "It's time for our meal. You can go wash your hands with Jelly Bean and get ready for our meal."

Boyle nodded and said, "Alright."

The entire family sat down and started eating after that.

Old Master Fudd was sitting at the master's seat as he took a quick glance at everyone after he got himself seated.

Both Heaton and Harrison sat down immediately.

However, Boyle helped Cherie to pull her chair out and only sat down after she was comfortably seated.

Old Master Fudd scoffed and said, "Look at how thoughtful Boyle is. You should really learn from him."

Heaton was speechless.

It stung him on the inside.

Verian felt the same too as she explained, "Dad, Heaton and I are not newlyweds anymore. I'd feel even more uncomfortable if he were to pull my chair out for me."

Heaton frowned as he said, "Dad, you always told us to not speak during a meal. It's bad for your gut if you speak while you eat so you shouldn't speak anymore."

The old man snapped back at him as he said, "Go on and focus on your own damn food. You don't need to care about what I do. My gut is still in pretty good shape and I don't need you to worry about me."

After Cherie was done with her shrimps, Boyle deshelled a few more for her.

Old Master Fudd was beaming as he looked at the two youngsters and said, "Not bad, not bad at all."

Harrison could not hold back his laughter as he said, "Grandpa, you barely know him and now you're praising him?"

"Let me warn you, you little brat. Don't you ever be like your father when it comes to love at your age. He's a very unreliable man."

Harrison placed a rib on Heaton's plate as he said, "Dad, I kinda feel bad for you to be so brutally assaulted by the enemy."

Cherie was eating some cucumber.

Heaton took a glance at his daughter and said, "Why aren't you saying anything? Don't you have anything to say to me?"

Cherie placed some cucumber on Heaton's plate as she said, "Dad, cucumbers cool your body down. You should eat more."

Heaton stared intensely at his daughter as he asked, "Your ID at home is missing. Did you take it?"

Verian was stunned as she asked, "Oh, Jelly Bean, did you take your ID?"

Cherie came prepared as she said, "Dad, did you forget that I told you my ID is missing and I needed to apply for a new one?"

Heaton's gaze suggested that he obviously did not believe that bullsh*t.

Boyle placed his plate and cutlery down as he spoke in a serious tone, "Grandpa, uncle, aunty, Cherie and I have already registered our marriage yesterday."

A bombshell had just been dropped on them.

Cherie lowered her head and continued eating as she tried to stay out of the whole ordeal.
