After the plane landed, Boyle brought Cherie to a famous restaurant in the capital for a meal.
They picked a spot and got seated.
Boyle sat beside her as the duo started going through the menu together.
A young looking waitress asked them, "What can I get you both?"
Boyle decided to eat whatever Cherie wanted to eat. He was not particularly picky.
As Cherie stared at the snacks section of the menu, she stuttered, "Taro balls… and some fried… fried dumplings…"
When the young waitress noticed her stutter, she frowned and seemed to be secretly judging her.
She did not expect such a young and handsome man to settle for a woman with a stutter.
Although the couple looked very appealing from an outsider's perspective, her stutter would render all of her good points to waste.
The waitress chuckled awkwardly as she slipped out an offensive remark, "Miss, if you're unable to speak clearly, you can always point at the picture."
Cherie looked up with her sparkly eyes and stared at the waitress with an intense gaze as she did not even seem to be the slightest bit bashful.
Her glare was intimidating to the point that the waitress felt a little nervous.
Boyle's gaze felt menacingly cold but he still reached out to pat Cherie's little head as he spoke in a gentle tone, "You can continue. We're not in a hurry anyway."
Even if Cherie was to order her food till nightfall, Boyle would not rush her.
It was unsure what the waitress was thinking as she could not help but say, "Sir, ma'am, do you guys need more time with the menu? It wouldn't be nice to keep the other tables waiting for too long."
Boyle cracked a mocking grin while a cold and menacing aura was emanating from his body as he glared intensely at the waitress and said, "First come first serve. Since we were here first, it's only natural for us to be served first. If you don't feel like serving us, you can always get someone else to serve us."
Boyle was extremely intimidating as sinister rage flashed across his eyes.
However, it was unfortunate that the waitress was not sharp enough to read the person's mood.
The waitress fearlessly exclaimed, "Why don't you order for her, sir. The young miss here seems to have a slurred speech. I don't quite understand what she's saying."
Boyle's menacing aura faded away as he seemed to have a neutral look on his face.
However, Boyle would be the most ruthless when he was expressionless.
"My wife always order whenever we're out together. If you have any opinion about us, you can always call your manager over."
The waitress gritted her teeth and felt like she had been unfairly treated.
Boyle then lowered his head and asked in a gentle tone, "Go ahead and order if you still feel like eating anything else."
Cherie cracked a smile at Boyle before making her order, "I'll have some fried fritters… fried honey biscuits… fried chicken… tofu with shrimps… and some steamed fish…"
It took Cherie ten minutes to place her order.
All the waitress could do was helplessly wait for her to finish.
The waitress asked, "Is that all, miss? Can I place your order now then?"
However, before Cherie could reply, the waitress had already stormed off in a very arrogant manner.
Boyle called out to her and exclaimed in a cold tone, "Hey, who told you that we were done ordering?"
Cherie cracked an innocent smile as she slowly ordered a whole bunch of other food.
The waitress waited for another half an hour.
After she was done ordering, Cherie closed the menu and stared at the waitress with an innocent look as she stuttered slowly, "The… the… food that I ordered earlier… I don't… I don't want them anymore."
Boyle stared at the woman next to him with a loving gaze as he cracked a subtle smile.
She was adorable.
The waitress’ expression went pale.
After the waitress left, Cherie pouted her lips and said, "I… I don't… want to eat here."
Boyle lowered his head and nuzzled up against her forehead as he spoke with a loving smile, "We'll go to a different restaurant then. I don't like this restaurant as well."
Cherie nodded as she said, "Yeah, let's go."
In all honesty, Boyle could barely taste the difference between all the different varieties of instant noodles.
After Boyle was done boiling both bowls of instant noodles, he brought them over to the long table.
Cherie was staring excitedly at the instant noodles.
Boyle jokingly said, "Are instant noodles more attractive than me?"
Cherie pinched his handsome face with her little hands as she replied with a serious tone, "You're only handsome… you don't taste good… instant noodles on the other hand… are delicious."
Boyle grabbed her little hand, placed it by his lips and gave it a kiss. He was completely starstruck and in love.
When the instant noodles was done and after Cherie was halfway through her bowl of kimchi flavored instant noodles, she started staring intensely at Boyle's bowl of beef stew flavored instant noodles.
"Does… yours taste good?"
Boyle started laughing.
Cherie frowned when she noticed just how hard Boyle was laughing as she asked, "What... are you laughing at?"
Boyle reached out to pinch her little cheeks as he said, "Oh Madam Lawson, you're too adorable that Mr. Lawson wants to store you away in a safe somewhere."
"Well… can you… share… a little… with your… adorable Madam Lawson then?"
Boyle immediately gave her his half eaten instant noodles as he said, "Everything I have belongs to you."
Cherie picked up a piece of kimchi and fed it to Boyle's mouth as she said, "This is… your reward… from Madam Lawson."
Boyle was beaming with joy as he opened his mouth and immediately ate it. He said, "Not bad."
Cherie was completely stuffed as she laid in Boyle's arms while she dozed off.
However, Cherie suddenly asked, "Hey Boyle… If I… go to the hospital… willingly on my own… for my treatment… will… that make you happy?"
Boyle was a little stunned as he did not expect she would start to slowly care about his feelings while still being plagued by her ailment. This was progress since she was starting to feel the push to seek treatment on her own, even though her progress was incredibly slow.
Boyle stared intensely at her before replying in a serious tone, "Cherie, I hope that you'll be able to live healthily and happily. I don't really care if you're able to see Little Bean Sprout or not because the only thing I care about is you being able to spend the rest of your life with me. That is because our time together was too short, so I became a little greedy. I want to spend ten, twenty, thirty, heck even fifty years with you won’t be enough for me. Therefore, will you please live happily in this world for my sake?"
