Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 926

Emily told Cherie to meet her at a nearby coffee shop the following day.

Emily was punctual to their meeting. However, Cherie seemed to be half an hour late.

Since Emily was a punctual person, she absolutely despised it when others were not. Furthermore, she was quite the powerful person herself, so that meant that only others would be waiting for her, not the other way around.

Emily was a foreigner so she was quite open in showing her emotions. She was furious as she exclaimed, "You're half an hour late. Your inability to be punctual is the biggest insult to me."

Cherie sat down and started ordering a drink without being bothered by her. She flipped through the menu and signaled the waiter over as she said, "I'll have a latte."

"Alright."

Emily frowned and found Cherie to be extremely arrogant, so she complained, "You don't even respect me the slightest bit."

Cherie raised her gaze, stared at her, and said, "You're the one who wanted to meet me. Therefore, you should be willing to wait for me. I never forced you to do so anyway. If you can't wait for me, you could have just left."

Emily gritted her teeth and snapped back at her, "Similar to Boyle, you have quite the silver tongue as well. You're able to twist facts just like him. It seems you both are perfect for each other."

Cherie corrected her, "No. We're not just perfect for each other, we're basically soulmates."

Emily replied with a helpless sigh, "Fine. I heard you've gotten back together with Boyle recently?"

"Yeah."

"Why did you guys break up in the first place then?"

Cherie replied, "I don't have to explain anything to you."

Emily was speechless.

Cherie took a sip of latte when the waiter brought it over. She suddenly asked Emily a random question, "Is Boyle's lasagna delicious?"

Emily was stunned since it had already been years since she ate it and had very little memory of its taste. "It's alright."

Cherie chuckled since Emily's reply was exactly as she expected. She knew a woman like her would never know how to appreciate those types of things.

Emily raised her brows and said, "I heard that you absolutely loved his lasagna. Are there any special reasons why?"

"Nope. I just really like it."

Emily said, "When I signed the contract with him back then, I was told that men from North City are quite talented in cooking and wanted him to cook a full course meal for me. However, he only made a simple dish and even told me that his most beloved woman absolutely loves it."

Cherie paused while stirring her cup of coffee. It seemed Emily's remark had even made her eyes twitch.

It meant that Boyle had absolutely no intention of cooking for Emily. He had only made her favorite dish because she was somewhat on his mind?

Cherie looked up and stared directly at Emily. "Although both your appearance and imagination are quite beautiful and interesting, Boyle is mine. I won't ever allow you to continue meeting him alone anymore in the future, not even as friends."

Emily stared wide-eyed at Cherie as she helplessly waved her hands around and asked, "Why?"

She could not understand why since Boyle was a free man regardless of their relationship. Why could she not meet him anymore even as friends?

It seemed Cherie had put on some makeup. She was not dressed as casually as she always was. She obviously came prepared.

She was there to show how amazing of a person she was to Emily.

Boyle could not hide the obvious smile in his eyes as he held onto her wrist and said, "I love it when you say, 'He loves it whenever I'm behaving unreasonably'. Well said there."

The corners of Cherie's mouth twitched.

Not only had he eavesdropped on her, but he also had to repeat what she said?

If she had known that he was eavesdropping on her, she would never have said that in the first place.

Boyle continued teasing her in the same barbaric manner Cherie had used earlier, "'That’s because I don't like it when Boyle goes on dates and shares a meal with any other girls who aren't me'. I love that line and hope you can enforce that restriction on me for real."

That way, she would be able to act more like Madam Lawson soon.

Cherie said, "I just ruined any chances you might have had with her."

Boyle replied, "I don't want any chances with her."

Cherie said, "So you’re saying that you prefer having better chances with other women out there?"

Boyle replied with a compassionate tone, "I only want my chances to stay with you. Anyone else is unimportant to me."

Cherie was speechless.
