Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 747

By the time Blaine exited the casino, Ruby and Stanley were already in the limited-edition Ferrari and getting ready to leave the place.

As the car slowly moved forward, Blaine rushed out to the front and blocked their way.

Fortunately, Stanley stepped on the brake immediately and the tires had a steady grip on the ground. Otherwise, they would have knocked Blaine down.

Ruby stuck her head out of the window and yelled at Blaine, “Blaine, I know you want to die but I haven’t lived my life to the fullest yet!”

Within Blaine’s territory in Glacier City, if Ruby and Stanley were to knock Blaine down, they would definitely land themselves into serious trouble.

Blaine strode toward Ruby and opened the car door. He then gripped Ruby’s wrist and hauled her out of the sports car.

“What are you doing!”

“It’s so late now. Are you planning to spend a night outside with a gigolo?”

As Stanley overheard Blaine calling him a gigolo, he furrowed his brows and grumbled, “Gigolo? Uncle, who are you referring to? Master Rue doesn’t give me money for nothing!”

Blaine was irritated as he heard Stanley calling Ruby in such a lovey-dovey way. He squinted his eyes and asked in a cold tone, “Rue? You’re letting him refer to you in such a lovey-dovey way?”

Ruby was speechless. She knew Blaine was a bossy person. If she were to continue and go against him, she might get Stanley into trouble. As she thought about this, she waved her hand at Stanley and said, “Stanley, you can head back to the hotel first. I’ll meet you again tomorrow.”

Stanley was only eighteen and had a teenager’s temperament. He pouted his lips. “Boss, are we not having fun anymore? Didn’t we agree to play the whole night until tomorrow morning?”

‘Play the whole night? Play what?’ Blaine thought.

Blaine was a mature man and quick-witted. If a man and woman wanted to spend the night playing together, what else could it be?

Blaine’s clasped Ruby’s wrist tighter and stared daggers at Stanley. “Aren’t you leaving?”

His stare felt so sharp, it felt like it could pierce someone.

The moment Stanley’s gaze met Blaine’s, Blaine’s death stare sent a cold chill down his spine as goosebumps sprang up all over his back.

Blaine’s stare clearly stating, ‘Aren’t you leaving? Do you have a death wish?’

Judging from his demeanor, he might pull out his gun and aim it at him at any moment!

Stanley quickly stepped on the accelerator and hurriedly drove away, leaving Ruby and Blaine behind.

Blaine was so agitated to the point that his grip felt tight enough to crush Ruby’s wrist. She frowned as she could not stand the pain anymore and retracted her hand from his grip.

“Blaine, let me make it clear. I did promise you that I’ll be with you for a hundred days. However, this doesn’t mean that I can’t have my freedom to do anything I want.”

Blaine looked at her in the eyes. Welled up with anger, he pursed his lips and uttered, “During these hundred days, you belong to me. I’m the one who decides if you can have your freedom or not.”

‘I belong to him? I’m not a pet.’

Ruby’s face darkened as Blaine did not seem like he was joking. “Blaine, let me warn you. We indeed have a deal but this doesn’t mean that you can control me. If you continue to be overbearing and unreasonable, I have ways of leaving this city.”

Her words provoked Blaine, and he got so irritated that he wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her into his embrace before lowering his head to kiss her.

His domineering kiss was impossible to resist. He did not even give her a moment to gasp for air.

As Ruby was struggling to escape from his forceful kiss with her fists clenched, she tried to push him away but Blaine was too strong. The more she struggled to escape from his embrace, the tighter he hugged her. With his arms tightly wrapped around her body, she felt as if she was entrapped in a cage. She could not run away no matter how much she tried.

“Blaine… Oh…”

Without hesitation, she bit his lips hard.

His arms were still around her waist as he lifted his lips from her mouth. He pressed his forehead against hers and stared at her swollen lips with an aloof yet smoldering gaze. Carefully articulating his words, he warned her, “You have ways to run away from me but I have ways to find you no matter where you are. Ruby, don’t you dare to run away from me. I already don’t trust you that much so you better not make me lose all my trust in you.”

Although Blaine sounded affectionate with his deep and raspy voice, he was aloof and somewhat threatening in his tone.

It was the first time Ruby had seen Blaine behaving like this. She gulped her saliva out of fear and glared back at him. “Let go of me.”

Blaine knew she would not run away from him. However, he was a little unsatisfied with her request and furrowed his brows. Reluctantly, he released her.

It was winter in Glacier City and their warm breath condensed into mist as they talked. Back when Ruby struggled to free herself from Blaine, the black coat initially draped over her shoulder had fallen to the ground.

“... You’re the one who mentioned him.”

Blaine gritted his teeth and slammed on the accelerator. Like a leopard, the car sped off into the dark and serene night.

Along their way back to Kingswood Mansion, he calmed himself and glanced at the woman on the passenger seat. “How are you planning to return the money you owe me?”

Ruby raised her brows and pretended as if she knew nothing about it. “When did I owe you money?”

“You spent my money at the casino. Are you trying to deny that?”

With his indifferent tone and serious expression, he looked as if he genuinely wanted her to pay him back.

‘A billion…’ When she recalled losing almost a billion at the casino, she felt a little reluctant to pay him back although she could afford to do so.

“I’m not the one who gambled. If you want your money back, ask Stanley.”

Stanley was mediocre in everything but was exceptionally good at fleeing for his life. He would hide somewhere around the world without one noticing. She doubted Blaine’s underlings could find him.

With an indifferent tone, he answered, “Okay then. I’ll send someone to tie him up and if he can’t pay me back in full, I’ll get them to chop him into pieces and throw him into the Glacier River as fish food.”

Ruby was speechless.

‘Does he have to be this brutal?’ Ruby thought.

If Stanley were to get caught… He would be doomed, right?

“You’re crazy rich. Do you have to go to such an extent to sacrifice a life for the sake of a billion? Rumour has it that if a person has blood on his hands, he’ll lose his loved ones and live a bitter life without any sense of belonging. It’d be better if you just let Stanley off.”

Blaine gave an indifferent shrug. “Since I already have blood on my hands, I don’t mind adding his blood as well.”

“...”

He was brutal and merciless indeed.
