Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 737

Ruby got out of the guest room the next morning after doing some stretches. However, she soon realized that the master bedroom’s door was opened and Cindy happened to be walking out of the room.

Ruby was stunned as rage sparked in her heart. Blaine even promised her last night that he would not be touching another woman during this hundred days period. She actually thought that they had come to an agreement. However, she never expected that the very next second, Cindy would be sleeping in his bed last night.

Hmph, how ironic.

Cindy seemed to have realized something as a smug glint could be seen from the corner of her eyes.

“Did you sleep well last night, Miss Luna?”

Ruby replied with a cold tone, “Not bad.”

Cindy continued with a smug look, “I happened to be sleeping quite well myself as well. You know, Master Blaine’s bed is huge and soft.”

Hmph.

Ruby scoffed in her heart. However, before she could even scoff at her, Ruby noticed another door was opened and Blaine walked out from another guest room in his casual clothes from behind Cindy’s shoulder.

Ruby seemed to have realized something as she stared at Cindy mockingly. Her glare seemed to be hinting at Cindy’s well played effort in pretending.

All she did was sleep in Blaine’s room without Blaine so why was she acting so smug for anyway?

Cindy turned around and noticed Blaine. She ran over to him immediately while reaching out to hug his arm.

“Good morning, Master Blaine.”

Just as Blaine was about to pull his arm away, he noticed the woman that was standing nearby watching them so, he thought he was not in a hurry to completely cut ties with Cindy yet.

Cindy spoke with a cheerful giggle, “Let’s head downstairs for some breakfast, Master Blaine.”

While Cindy was hugging Blaine, she turned around and told Ruby, “You should head downstairs for breakfast too, Miss Luna.”

Ruby gritted her teeth.

The entire atmosphere at the dining table felt interesting.

Blaine and Cindy were sitting next to each other while Ruby was sitting across the table facing them.

Cindy appeared as if she was about to cuddle up against Blaine as she ate.

Ruby was violently slicing the poached egg in her plate.

Cindy spoke with an innocent look on her face, “Oh, Sister Luna, I’ll be staying here for a really long time so if I offend you in any way in the future, please forgive my naivety and don’t take it to heart, okay, Sister Luna?”

Heheh, naivety? She would be excused for crossing people just by feigning naivety?

Ruby drank a gulp of orange juice as she coldly said, “Am I really that old? I absolutely hate it when people call me their sister.”

Cindy was speechless.

She actually thought Miss Luna might pretend to be gentle and forgiving in front of Master Blaine. However, she never expected Ruby to act so hostile. It would be truly odd if Master Blaine would actually accept a woman like her.

However, Cindy was still underestimating Ruby since she actually assumed Ruby was no match for her.

“Well… Miss Luna, I still have no idea what your name is. Why don’t I just address you with your name instead?”

Ruby continued eating as she completely ignored Cindy.

Since Ruby ignored her, Cindy felt awkward so she instinctively took a glance at Blaine. However, she realized that Blaine was also ignoring her. He seemed to be completely focused on Ruby who was eating.

Ruby was short tempered and impatient. She grew increasingly annoyed while slicing her steak. It was cooked to medium rare, so it was hard to cut. She grew impatient while cutting, so she immediately threw her cutlery down onto her plate.

When the silver cutlery struck the porcelain plate, a loud clunk could be heard.

Blaine immediately reached out and grabbed her plate. Without saying a word, he started slicing the steak up into smaller pieces for her before pushing it back to her.

The entire process was extremely natural and smooth. He did not speak a word nor did he do anything else.

As Ruby looked at the sliced steak on her plate, she took a glance at Cindy before picking up a piece with her fork and eating it while saying, “This steak is not bad. Do you want to try some Miss Nelson?”

After Ruby returned to her room, she felt excruciatingly bored as she laid in bed.

Her carefree days was truly boring.

When she was still working as an assassin for the Light Organization back then, she barely had any time to rest. Every waking moment of her life was riddled with danger. However, now that she was being confined by Blaine, she could finally relax and no longer had to worry about assassins pointing a gun to her head in the middle of the night. It seemed she might actually turn lazy if days like these continued in the long run.

She seemed to be taking a really long vacation right now to the point that her entire body felt soft and weak and no longer seemed lethal in any way.

She closed her eyes and thought about where she should go after the hundred days deal was over.

After being so used to constant battle, she could not seem to get used to peaceful days like these in such a short time.

Oh that was right, she was no longer a part of the Light Organization anymore so why should she even care about the petty squabbles between R Country or Z Country? Those squabbles had nothing to do with her anymore.

Suddenly, Ruby opened her eyes.

She crawled out of bed and strode toward Blaine’s study.

Ruby entered Blaine’s study immediately as she said, “Blaine, I’m no longer part of the Light Organization anymore so I’m no longer obligated to fulfil my end of the bargain…”

Before she could finish, Blaine suddenly pulled her into him while yelling, “Look out!”

While Ruby was being cuddled in his arms, she peeked her head out and noticed a hidden dart shooting out of a tile nearby.

“Did I trigger some sort of trap earlier?”

It seemed the hidden traps in this room were designed in quite the unique way.

While Ruby was scanning the study, Blaine was staring at her little face.

He actually disarmed all of the hidden traps for her back then. However, not long after she left, in order to maintain absolute security, he reinstalled the traps.

Now however, she was back again.
