”Of course you’re not the Loch Ness Monster, Blaine. However…” Ruby intentionally inched closer with her nose and gave his collar a whiff before speaking in a cold tone, “However, the stench alone, Blaine, is overwhelmingly strong. I have a sinus infection and I can’t stand it.”
Ruby intentionally covered her nose with her finger after that.
Blaine pulled her hand away before staring intensely with his dark eyes as he said, “Why don’t I know about you having a sinus infection?”
“How could you possibly know about my sinus infection?”
Blaine was eyeballing her with a gaze that clearly hinted at her to stop pretending about him being completely unaware of anything that was going on with her.
After staring at her for a good long while, Blaine gave her a playful stare and said, “Jealous?”
“What can I possibly be jealous about?”
Even if she was jealous, she would never be jealous about Cindy. This was because just by the way she looked at Blaine, she was clearly obsessively in love with him.
“You’re jealous about Cindy.”
Without even looking about, Ruby stared directly at Blaine as she said, “I’m not that petty.”
However, Blaine’s grip around her waist grew increasingly tighter and harder as he truly could not spot even the slightest flash of envy in Ruby’s gaze. However, it was all because of that fact alone which infuriated Blaine.
“Director Glaceau, although I’m not some weak damsel, I’m still a woman at the end of the day. You’re grabbing me too hard and it hurts.”
Blaine scoffed before throwing her wrist aside as he said, “So, you actually know that it hurts? I actually thought you didn't.”
Blaine turned around and left the guest room after saying that.
Ruby flicked her wrist around before telling Blaine who was already at the door, “Director Glaceau, I don’t like sharing a man with another woman at the same time. So, if you even touch that woman, you can stop thinking about coming into my room ever again.”
Blaine paused after hearing that statement. He turned around and looked at her before saying, “I’m not an ancient emperor nor are you a queen. I have no plans in starting a harem so you can rest easy knowing that in the hundred days period of your stay here, I will not look for other women.”
Ruby raised her brows before replying, “Indeed. My thoughts exactly.”
Blaine pulled the covers over her body again as he said, “Cindy, you know I am not a fan of witty people.”
Cindy bit her lips and seemed a little sad as she began tearing up a little before hugging Blaine’s waist with both arms immediately. She said, “Please don’t send me away, Master Blaine. Just think of it as me keeping you company okay? I haven’t seen you in a really long time and I missed you dearly.”
Blaine’s gaze looked extremely cold as he pulled the woman’s little arms away as he heartlessly said, “Since you want to sleep here so much, so be it.”
Cindy was speechless.
Blaine turned around and left the master bedroom without even looking back once.
Cindy who was laying in bed finally started crying. It seemed that despite how skimpily dressed she was, it had no effect on Blaine. This hurt her self-esteem greatly.
However, she did not think that Blaine had absolutely no feelings toward her because if Blaine had no feelings toward her, why would he even allow her to stay by his side all these years?
With that thought in mind, all of her wronged feelings no longer affected her that much and instead, her sorrow was now replaced by a greater need for her to win.
