Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 731

Old K lamented intentionally, “Since you’ve already broken up with Miss Softie, Master Blaine, why’d you even bother giving her a gun anyway? We don’t even have enough weapons in our car and yet you…”

“Shut up.”

Old K pouted his lips and said, “Master Blaine, I think you’re just worried about Miss Softie running into any troubles now, right?”

Blaine replied with a bitter tone, “No one would call you mute if you don’t say anything.”

“Master Blaine…”

“Are you getting bored of being alive?”

Old K remained silent and no longer dared to speak another word.

Blaine stared at the slender silhouette that was leaving through the rear view mirror before withdrawing his cold gaze.

Ruby that was walking on the bridge above the sea was clutching the gun tightly in her hands. It was unsure if the sea breeze stung or it was due to her suppressing her emotions for too long that she finally broke down. Her tears finally began pouring out of her eyes as she silently sobbed.

Memories of Blaine and her flashed across her mind while Blaine’s deep voice rang in her ears.

“You’ll be called Softie from now onward.”

“It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from or what purpose you have for staying by my side. None of that is important. The only thing that matters is that you’re mine. No one can change that.”

“Oh, Softie. It’s really difficult for me to like anyone. However, since you’ve made me fall in love with you, I’ll never let you go. It’s difficult for a loner like me to develop feelings for anyone but since I’m starting to, I don’t want it to stop. If I actually fall in love with you, I’ll do everything in my power and wisdom to love and protect you.”

She was already crying uncontrollably.

‘... I’m really sorry, Blaine. I can’t stay with you.’

Last night, Stephen laced her food with poison specially made in the Light Organization. If she actually betrayed the organization, she would without a doubt die a very gruesome death in seven days. No antidote could save her.

How could she possibly spend the rest of her life with Blaine if she actually died? She did not want to die.

Her phone began to ring.

Ruby then picked up the call.

Wilson said, “Ruby, are you with Blaine now? Don’t go anywhere near his helicopter. The director had buried explosives and mines there. If you guys go there, you will without doubt be blown into smithereens!”

Ruby was speechless.

She remained silent for a really long time through the phone.

“Ruby?”

Beep.

She had hung up the call.

Ruby turned around and started running like a mad man on the bridge above the sea.

However, Blaine’s car had long since driven away and she would never catch up to them just by running.

When Ruby arrived at the centre of the bridge, she drew her gun and shot directly into the sky before stopping a sports car and commandeering it by throwing the driver out and driving away!

Ruby was speeding down the road at 300 miles per hour and her car was basically levitating above the road!

‘You have to be safe, Blaine!’

When both Blaine and Old K arrived at the edge of the cliff by the beach, they got out of the car.

The helicopter was already parked by the edge.

Blaine stood by the car and looked back. He seemed slightly reluctant.

Old K spoke in a concerned tone, “Master Blaine, let’s get out of here as soon as possible before that old coot sends more people after us. We won’t be able to escape when that happens.”

Just as Blaine and Old K were about to approach the helicopter, they could hear an ear-piercing screeching sound coming from a sports car.

Ruby was holding onto Blaine’s bleeding wound as she asked in a soft tone while gritting her teeth, “Why’d you take a bullet for me?”

Blaine gasped and sighed while his face looked really pale from being shot. However, his voice and his gaze were very determined as he said, “I told you, it’s difficult for me to fall in love with anyone and when I do, I will never let go. I’ll do everything in my power and wisdom to love and protect her. Besides, Softie, I enjoy the feeling of you owing me your life.”

“But I’m no longer your woman, Blaine.”

Blaine replied while staring at her, “You were once before.”

Ruby gulped as she stared at Blaine’s wound under the dim light. She asked with a frown, “Old K, have you contacted the Dark Organization yet?”

Old K was standing guard by the door of the old shed with a gun in hand. He was ready for combat at any moment. He replied in a soft tone, “We need to hold on for just a little while longer before our reinforcements arrive. Master Blaine, you need to hang in there.”

Ruby got up and said, “No, this isn’t going to work. This cliff isn’t huge enough and it wouldn’t take long for them to find us.”

She raised her arm and took Blaine’s jacket off. However, her hand was grabbed by Blaine as he asked, “Softie, what are you doing?”

“I’ll distract them. Since I belong to the Light Organization, even if I’m captured by them, they wouldn’t do a thing to me.”

“I forbid you from doing so.”

Ruby scoffed at his unreasonable command in the dark as she said, “Blaine, I’ve never once obeyed a single word you told me and you mentioned that you love my stubbornness. Therefore, I am also not going to listen to this time.”

“Softie…”

Blaine held onto her little hand tightly.

Ruby turned around, knelt by his side, held onto his face with both hands and kissed his lips. She whispered, “Blaine, I’ve lied to you about something. I love you and that’s exactly why I don’t want you to die.”

“Softie, you know I’m not that weak and I don’t need a woman to protect me.”

“But I told you that I will protect you when I become much stronger, Blaine. I’m really sorry, Blaine but I can’t leave with you. It won’t be too late for you to come look for me after you’ve recovered.”

Ruby grabbed Blaine’s jacket, pushed him away, picked up the gun and rushed out of the broken shed.

Even Old K was touched by her gesture when he stared at the woman’s silhouette when she left the forest. ‘Miss Softie… truly is worthy of Master Blaine’s love.’
