Wilson held the vial of the antidote tightly; there were movements outside. He knew that Stephen had set a trap for him.
"Is this the antidote?"
Stephen laughed and said, "Those are only vitamins. I knew that you would do anything for Serene, but I did not know that you would drop all of your defenses!"
Wilson gritted his teeth as he growled, "Which poison did you use, and where is the antidote?!"
"I do have the antidote, but only one."
Wilson grabbed his gun. "You know I have great shooting skills."
Stephen laughed and said, "If you kill me now, you won't be able to get the antidote, nor can you escape. There are guards everywhere."
"I can tie them up and threaten them. Just like I threaten you."
Stephen snickered. "Threatened? Aret, you've been with me for so long, yet you still don't understand me? You know that I don't respond well to threats. Only I get to make them. Not the other way round."
Wilson grabbed Stephen by his neck and pointed the gun at his temple. He said, "But now, I am threatening you. Hand me the antidote, or I'll shoot you!"
"Aret, not even your father dared to speak to me like that."
"My father is my father, and I am me! Why did you kill him all those years ago?"
"He was like you. He wanted to stop my puppet assassins. No one can stop me."
Wilson's eyes were red; he glared at Stephen and yelled, "You're hopeless!"
Wilson was about to drag Stephen out of the drug storage facility when he saw a mole behind his right ear. Wilson's expression darkened.
Wilson exited the room; he and Ruby stood back to back.
"Why did you guys come back?" he asked.
Ruby growled, "You think we'd just let you die? Wilson Jarret, you know nothing about loyalty!"
As he shot his gun, Wilson said, "Searching for the antidote is my business. I do not want to drag all of you down with me!"
"How can you mention that at a time like this?"
Shortly after that, Frost Blade and Old K returned with their men. In a short time, they had managed to surround the guards. Wilson noticed that Stephen was escaping, so he took his chance and chased after him.
He must find Stephen to get the antidote! Serene could not wait any longer!
