Serene desperately tried to keep herself awake in the middle of the night as she kept nodding off like a little woodpecker.

She took a glance at Ruby and it seemed like Ruby was already soundly asleep.

Bending over, she carefully and gently snuck out of the tent.

“What are you doing here? Is Ruby asleep yet?”

The woman stared at him with her black beady eyes and said, “Why didn’t you come to find me?”

Wilson chuckled and said, “If you didn’t leave with Ruby earlier tonight, I think we wouldn’t be asleep yet.”

Serene was unable to catch onto what he meant as she asked, “What do you mean by that?”

Wilson lowered his head and kissed her ears before whispering in a deep tone, “If you stay by my side tonight, you’ll be physically exhausted from exercising with me. Babe, you know, if you don’t feel tired, I’m more than willing to do it…”

The man started stripping her clothes off with his long and slender finger while saying, “Oh, I missed you dearly and don’t mind showing you how much I’ve missed you with my body.”

Serene instinctively hugged her own body before staring at him with a flustered gaze…

“What’s the matter?”

“I-I’m on my period.”

Wilson raised his brows slightly before letting out a sigh. He then hugged her and said, “You had your period before I left and now, you’re also having your period when we finally meet. If the same thing happens again next time, I’ll have to inspect to see if you’re lying about it.”

Serene blushed and remained silent.

Her pregnancy would last about ten months. She could not possibly keep lying to him like this!

Serene asked in return, “She’s beautiful and her body is also quite incredible. Although she has quite a foul mouth, she seems like a really good, loyal person. Wilson, why’d you pick me and not her?”

“Because my Serene is more adorable than her.”

However, Wilson did not take it as a tease. Instead, he agreed with her as he replied, “Indeed.”

Wilson then entered Ruby’s tent and carried the woman back to his tent. He stared at her sweet sleeping face as he took her jacket and coat off and pulled the covers over her tiny, slender body.

Wilson caressed her through the covers before cracking a loving smile at her. He said, “She looks like a complete mess in her sleep.”

Serene found herself in Wilson’s tent when she woke up.

That was odd. Did she sleepwalk to Wilson’s tent?

Serene then swiftly crawled out of his bed, got dressed, put on her jacket and went out to look for Wilson. However, Wilson was nowhere to be seen.

One of the private militias told Serene, “Madam, the boss went to the Underground. The boss ordered me to watch over you and you’re not allowed to wander around.”

“Underground? Is it dangerous?”

The private militia chuckled and said, “No. Madam, it’s cold outside. You should return to the tent.”

Serene was flustered after being repeatedly addressed as madam by him.

After Serene returned to the tent, she noticed the breakfast Wilson prepared for her. It was a bottle of milk, a pack of biscuits, and a few pieces of chocolates.

Due to the restraints of their current conditions, anything edible would be limited to the food they had brought along with them.
