Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 316

Since Little Jelly Bean slept over in the Shallow Bay Mansion for three days, Heaton was unable to cuddle with Verian. Hence, he suffered severe insomnia.

Kush noticed Heaton who was in a bitter mood when he arrived at Fudd Group. He somehow felt it had something to do with the imbalance in his married life.

“Boss, are you still fine with your wife?”

Heaton glared at him coldly and said, “What’re you trying to ask?”

“I feel…you seem to be in a bad mood in recent days.”

Heaton squeezed his brows and he seemed a little helpless in his eyes as he said, “Little Jelly Bean came over to the Shallow Bay Mansion and I’ve been losing sleep.”

Kush was speechless.

Was he certain that it was not because of Little Jelly Bean being adamant on sleeping with them which caused the married couples to have less private moments?

Heaton could no longer take it on the fourth night so he called Old Master Fudd to pick Little Jelly Bean up from the kindergarten and bring her straight back to the Fudd family home.

When Little Jelly Bean noticed it was Old Master Fudd who went to pick her up, she curiously asked, “Why’re you here to pick me up today, Grandpa? I haven’t stayed in the Shallow Bay Mansion enough yet!”

Old Master Fudd had a rough idea of what the reason was so he comforted Little Jelly Bean, “Your daddy is a little busier at the end of the year and besides, New Year’s Eve is around the corner and your parents will come over to spend the new year together. You’ll get to see them real soon.”

Little Jelly Bean pouted her lips and scoffed, “Hmph. Daddy just didn’t like me hugging Monty to sleep because he also wanted to hug Monty when he sleeps.”

“...” Old Master Fudd let out two awkward coughs.

Heaton could finally sleep well after Little Jelly Bean returned to the Fudd family home.

He could finally cuddle Verian. She could not hold back from asking, “How come I didn’t know you were suffering from insomnia back then?”

“It’s not that serious and I’m able to fall asleep by cuddling you.”

Verian could not hold back her beaming smile as she said, “I feel like you won’t be able to leave me like this.”

Heaton did not feel even the slightest bit bashful as he hugged her tighter. He lowered his head and kissed her temple. He closed his eyes and spoke in an exhausted tone, “Is there anything wrong about me being unable to leave my wife?”

Verian should feel bashful or touched, but she was quite calm at this moment. She leaned against his chest while listening to his calm heartbeats. She suddenly felt sad.

“Heaton, I…

“If I happened to be your uncle’s daughter, would you still be willing to be with me?”

They might actually be related by blood…

However, Heaton seemed to already be asleep.

He might not be suffering from insomnia but it seemed she was having insomnia instead.

She had to invite his uncle out to clarify the whole thing tomorrow.

After Heaton went to the office, Verian gave James a call.

When they arrived at the meeting spot, both of them sat across each other.

Verian picked up her tea cup and immediately chugged it down. After drinking a huge gulp, she said, “I believe you know why I invited you out today, Uncle.”

Flash of regret and sorrow could be seen on James’ face as he said, “I’m sorry. All of this is my fault.”

Verian’s tears began to silently fall. She stared at James with complete resentment in her reddish eyes as she said, “Why must you want to reunite with me, why did you want to investigate this whole ordeal? You’re fully aware that I’m Heaton’s wife, so what good can come from your apology now? I’d rather not know about this and I wished that you never looked into this whole ordeal!”

“Verian, I… When I first met you, I felt that you resemble your mother way too much. I was too emotional and I desperately needed to know if you’re my daughter. Therefore, I sent someone to investigate and found out that your blood type is AB. Do you know how happy I was back then? I was thinking that the child from the past...is still around. And I was too excited...”

Verian spoke while slightly sobbing, “But I don’t want to be your daughter. I’m Heaton’s wife now. If you have taken this to your grave, I can still live completely fine with Heaton and Little Jelly Bean. It’s not easy for me to be with him. I absolutely love him but you tell me now that I’m your true born daughter. What exactly does Heaton and I mean then? How do you expect me to live with Heaton in future? Have you ever thought about how Little Jelly Bean would feel when she learns about this when she grows up in future?”

“I know that it’ll be hard for you to face the relationship between you and Heaton after learning of this. However, since you both are already married and even gave birth to a healthy Little Jelly Bean, I assure you that I’ll never expose this secret. You and Heaton…”

Verian scoffed. She said after sniffling, “Sarah knows about this too. She hates me and my mother. I can understand her hatred toward me but I can’t forgive you because you’re the main cause of this.”

James’ face turned slightly pale and there was sadness and guilt in his eyes. He had no idea what to say as he muttered, “I’m sorry.”

“I’ll never acknowledge you and I only have a father. He’s long dead.”

Verian grabbed her bag and hastily left. She did not even look back when she walked out the room.

James sat on the chair while his hands were shaking uncontrollably on the table.

His aging eyes were a little moist.

Both of Verian’s eyes were red when she stormed out.

All of this was a nightmare. How could she be a daughter of the Fudd family?

Her father’s last name was Mont!
