Yanny and Shayne were fooling around when they were stumbled upon by Sugar and Hugh not far away from them.

Yanny subconsciously hid and pinched Shayne’s arm under the table.

Once Sugar noticed Shayne, her eyes brightened. She pulled Hugh over to greet him.

“Master Shayne, what a coincidence. You’re here in the restaurant too. Is this your female companion?”

It was only then Sugar noticed that the woman sitting next to Shayne was Yanny. She was taken aback.

She clearly did not expect that the once-famous small supporting character that was her double, that went into the freezer to shoot the scene for her, had become Shayne’s female companion.

At that moment, Sugar was really impressed with Yanny. She smiled and said, “My, isn’t this Yanny? We have not contacted each other for a while now but it looks like you’re doing well yourself! Let’s catch up and have tea when you’re free next time.”

Yanny only smiled but did not reply.

Sugar did not find it awkward as she glanced at Shayne once more and said, “Master Shayne, I heard that Jinn Group recently wants to shoot a promotional video and are looking for a female lead. This is my name card. I am open to discussion on my pay. If you need me, you can call me anytime.”

Sugar passed on her name card with both hands to Shayne.

Shayne only looked at Yanny and ignored her.

Sugar smiled and put the name card on her table. “Master, Shayne, if you have anything coming up, you can consider me. Yanny, let’s meet for tea in the future!”

Hugh, seeing his girlfriend struggling to please them, hugged her and said, “We won’t disturb your meal.”

When they went back to their seats, Shayne tore the name card in half.

“Why did you tear it?”

Shayne furrowed his brows and looked at her, “You want her to seduce your boyfriend is it?”

Yanny was speechless. Shayne must be an expert in reading people.

Sugar would only invite her to tea so that she could get close to Shayne. Of course, Yanny knew about this, but she did not want to expose her for it as well. She just ignored it.

Yanny asked, “Master Shayne, are there no paparazzi here?”

“Why? Are you afraid you might be caught on camera with me?”

“Of course not, I’m not famous at all, so which paparazzi would want to take photos of me? If you’re not afraid, I have nothing to be afraid of. It’s just that I saw a few famous actresses. If the paparazzi were here, I’m sure they’d get pretty good content.”

Yanny was very inexperienced in the industry, hence it was normal that she did not know much about some things. Shayne looked at her innocent face and could not help but laugh. “Do you think that us capitalists are running a charity?”

“What you mean is that the paparazzi would not dare come to such places?”

“Some capitalists are even the major shareholder of small paparazzi companies. The paparazzi can take pictures of anybody, except their bosses. In other words, those gossips and news that were released had been approved to give the people some entertainment news. Those that the capitalists do not want people to know, the paparazzi will not capture them, unless they want to offend the capitalists and get fired.”

Yanny thought for a while and smiled at Shayne. “ Am I considered a capitalist that cannot be offended?”

Shayne pulled her into his arms, lowered his head, and kissed her.

Yanny did not expect that he would kiss her in public all of a sudden. She stretched out her arm and covered his thin lips. “Master Shayne, what are you doing? There are a lot of people here.”

“Why can’t I kiss my girlfriend? Is it illegal?”

“No, but there are too many people around. Let’s kiss back at home,” Yanny said.

Shayne looked at her with a mischievous look in his eye, and he replied with ease, “Sure, let’s kiss back at home.”

Why did Yanny feel like she was being set up?

After dinner, Yanny booked two movie tickets on her phone for nine o’clock.

It was only eight-thirty, so there was still time to get some snacks.

Yanny asked if Shayne ever had milk tea but Shayne had never drunk any of those drinks before.

They passed by a KFC in a mall. Yanny said, “Watching a movie without munching on something is too boring, so let’s get some snacks.”

Shayne was dragged along by Yanny to buy some deep-fried snacks. Ice cream cones were 50 percent off for the second one, so Yanny bought two.

She put one in Shayne’s hand. Shayne stared at the four bucks ice cream and heavily suspected that it was inedible.

“Such a cheap thing, could it be good?”

Yanny took his hand and led his hand to his mouth. “Try it, then you’ll know.”

Shayne obeyed her and took a bite. It was milky and did not taste too bad.

“Does it taste good?”

“It’s alright.” Shayne lowered his head, grabbed Yanny’s hand, and stole a bite of her ice cream.

Yanny glared at him. “You have your own. Why are you eating mine?”

Shayne passed his ice cream back to her. “I just took a bite. Don’t be so stingy. I’ll let you have a bite of mine too.”

Yanny did not take the bait. “Nope, I’ll eat mine.”

‘Heh, she’s gotten clever and I can’t trick her anymore.’

When they were at the movies, Shayne stood next to Yanny, holding the snacks from KFC.

Yanny asked him, “Do you want fries or popcorn?”

Shayne randomly picked and said, “Fries.”

“Yeah, it’s not bad.”

She was quite engrossed.

Shayne tilted his head and leaned it against Yanny’s. He took her soft and slender hand and put it on his thigh, squeezing it gently. He was a little sleepy from watching the movie.

He did not know what got into him as he agreed to come out on a date and watch a movie even though he would rather stay at home and have sex.

Shayne was utterly bored and said, “Dude, feed me some popcorn.”

Yanny did not look at him as she just picked up a few pieces and put it into his mouth.

Shayne ate the popcorn one by one. Just when Yanny let down her guard and continued throwing food into his mouth, Shayne suddenly bit her soft fingers.

Yanny’s attention was finally on him. When she turned to look at him, she saw a black figure enveloping her. Shayne put his hand on the back of her head with one hand, lowered his head, and kissed her on the lips.

The kiss was intense and passionate as if the desire had been suppressed for a long time.

Yanny’s face was extremely red. This was the first time she did such a thing in front of so many people in the movie theater. Her heart raced faster.

Shayne, on the other hand, was shameless. After the kiss, he still reminisced about it. He smiled domineeringly and said, “I feel much better after the kiss.”

For the entire night, he could not have her, and he was suffering.

Yanny bit her lips which were still hot from the kiss. She did not want to talk to Shayne anymore, so she picked up some fries and fed him. “Eat some fries.”

Throughout the entire movie, Yanny only managed to watch the first half of it. In the second half, Shayne was touching her all over, and she did not have any mood to watch further.

When they exited the movie theaters, it was already 11 at night. The dark sky started snowing. It was the first snow of the year.

Their car was in the parking lot of the Cloud Restaurant opposite them. They walked over to the mall just now due to convenience.

The snow outside was getting heavier, Shayne pulled Yanny along while crossing the road under the snowfall.

While waiting for the traffic lights, Shayne touched Yanny’s hand and realized that her hands were cold. He grabbed her hand and stuffed it into his coat’s pocket.

Yanny looked at the handsome man next to her in a daze.

She still remembered that when she was 16 years old, she eloped to North City together with Samuel Lane. It was also the first snowy day of winter too. Samuel did the exact same action to her as well.

Shayne felt Yanny’s intense gaze, as he raised his eyebrow and asked, “Why are you looking at your man like that?”

Yanny hugged his waist and buried her face in his chest. She tried to hide her emotions. She lightly sighed and said, “Because he’s handsome.”

Shayne was delighted by her soft-spoken words, and he could not help but smile. He lowered his head and replied, “If you know your man is handsome, look at him more. Don’t let other people take him away as it would be a tremendous loss for you.”

His tone was extremely arrogant.
