Obsession novel Chapter 57

I got up in the middle of the night. Ian was fast asleep next to me. I slid a hoodie on my body softly and slipped on sneakers, putting leggings on. I put the hoodie over my head and went into the bathroom, spraying Ian's cologne all over my body, to make that I cover my smell and the rest of my pack won't notice I'm leaving.

I know I had to do this. It was for the best.

I know as soon as I step foot off Ian's property Grayson would find me.

I couldn't risk everybody's life for the sake of mine. They don't deserve this and I should of never dragged them in this in the first place.

I walked downstairs softly and went outside, closing the door behind me. The cold air hit me. The moon was brightly shining.

I walked behind the house, going into the opposite direction to where the road was so that I could quickly get away. I heard footsteps nearby and I quickly hid and kept dead quiet.

The footsteps went further away and I made a run for it to the road. It was hard to see in the dark but once I was over the road I could shift.

I had to be quick though because I knew Ian would wake up if he couldn't feel me there.

Eventually I found the road and I quickly ran over it, I looked behind me and shivered. I was off of Ian's property. I was away from my pack and I knew I was not protected.

I looked ahead of me seeing big trees and I ran in it and shifted into my wolf.

I could see much better and I ran ahead of me, dodging branches and other trees in my way.

I had been running for about twenty minutes when I heard howls. The howls were coming from behind me which means Ian's found out I'm not there.

I ran even faster, pushing myself.

The howls were getting quieter and quieter until I couldn't hear them anymore. I contuined to run when suddenly something jumped at me, pinning me harshly onto the ground.

It was a wolf. The wolf growled at me and looked at me in the face, grabbing me by my neck and started dragging me.

I snapped harshly and pinned the wolf down, aiming at his throat and I looked at him in his eyes.

His eyes were pitch black. His wolf took over. I knew it was one of Grayson's pack members.

"Don't you ever fucking do that again, or I'll rip your throat out. Do you understand me?" I growl at him and he growls back at me.

I was about to bite into his neck when I got thrown off of him, and pinned onto the ground hard again, this time the wolf started biting me and trying to rip at me.

I growled at him and got up, ignoring the pain in my body. The two wolves looked at eachother and started growling.

They didn't come from the same pack, so who would the other wolf be?

"You're coming with me" The wolf says and I scoff.

"No, actually, she's ordered to come with me, runt" The wolf from Grayson's pack says to the other one.

"Do you want to get ripped apart? I'll happily do it" The other wolf says to Grayson's pack member and he starts to growl at him, circling eachother.

When I thought I had the opportunity to run off, I see glowing eyes from all around us.

I had no clue to what was going on and I was scared.

Who wanted me?

"Tell princess Grayson that Skye is no longer his. There's been a claim from my Alpha, and my Alpha won't stand for you or the twins for that matter" The other wolf says and Grayson's pack member launched at him, getting thrown at a tree.

"You can't be serious. We're not even half way" The wolf says and I pout.

"Just- get on" The wolf says, getting down on all fours.

I smile and climb onto him. His fur coat was a bonus and it kept me warm.

He got up and carried on walking.

After a while we arrived at a gate.

One of the wolves howled and it opened up.

I looked around, not being able to actually see anything at all. Yes, I can't see anything at night and I'm kind of blind.

After a while we walked down what I think was a type of drive way and we arrived at a mansion. The lights were on and the wolf went down, making me climb off of him.

I looked around and saw other wolves coming towards us and I heard the door open.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that the Alpha was Grayson and Ethans cousin. The one who pinned me against the wall. The one who Ethan said was dangerous.

"Hello Skye. Let me introduce myself to you?" The guy said nicely and I scoffed at him.

"My names Nixon. You know I'm your lover boys cousin. I'm also going to be the Alpha to claim you" Nixon says and I scoff at him.

"Yes yes, scary and all but- I need someone like you. You're pretty, you're sweet, and you're an alpha and a luna, plus I feel like we could make an attractive couple, hm?" Nixon smirks and I growl.

"Now now, be nice. You'll get your own room. Sort of your own space. And I also know how Ethan and Grayson has treated you, so I also know you're not going to be missing them" He says and smirks, making me sigh.
