For a long time, Jonathan and I kept our distance. No contact, no confrontation. 

I knew he was waiting for me to come to him. 

After finalizing the equity transfer for New Voyage and sorting out all the necessary preparations, I finally went to Millenia. 

He had just finished a meeting. He looked tired, leaning back in his chair to rest. 

When I walked in, he didn’t even lift his head. As if he had expected this moment. 

“Close the door,” he said quietly. 

I hesitated for a second, then shut it behind me. 

Just as I turned around, Jonathan suddenly moved. Before I could react, he pressed me lightly against the door, arms wrapped around me from behind. 

“I thought you’d take a lot longer to come find me,” he murmured. His voice was low and rough, 

little hoarse from exhaustion. 

I didn’t move. I stayed still in his arms, not saying a word. 

Realizing something, he turned me around to face him. His eyes met mine, calm and steady. 

“Are we making peace now?” 

I smiled. “Sure.” 

I answered too easily. Jonathan didn’t relax. If anything, he only looked at me more intently, as if trying to read my mind. 

When the silence stretched too long, I spoke. “I just don’t want to fight anymore. Isn’t that a good thing?” 

“It is,” he replied without hesitation. 

He paused, watching me. “What changed your mind?” 

I kept my tone light, pretending to sound at ease. “Because all this time, I’ve just been trying to get your attention.” 

He blinked, surprised by my answer. 

Jonathan loosened his hold on me. As I rubbed my wrist, he glanced down at my ring finger. 

“Put the wedding ring back on.” 

I nodded without resistance. “Alright. I’ll find it and wear it again.” 

“No need.” 

He walked over to the safe, opened the door, and took the ring out. “Put it on now.”
