Noelle asked in surprise, "Because of me?"

"Because you're awesome and hired such an excellent lawyer like me. If it weren't for me, your high-and-mighty ex-boyfriend wouldn't achieve anything even if he tried to intimidate old man Hitchcock," Jeremy boasted.

"Well then, thank you, Mr. Sulton," Noelle replied.

Jeremy smiled smugly as he continued, "By the way, your third brother is named Carl, right? He's also contacted Mr. Hitchcock's people, who probably want to negotiate, too.

"Apparently, he claims to have invented a drug that makes people younger. Is that stuff even legit?"

"About that..." Noelle had heard about this in her previous life, but she recalled there were serious side effects later on. She continued with a flat tone, "What do you think?"

"I think it's just human wishful thinking," Jeremy replied.

"Yes, just wishful thinking," she agreed.

Noelle hung up the phone, knowing that Carl's research from her previous life ultimately turned out to be a scam specifically targeting wealthy people.

Carl wasn't actually that talented. Back then, his ability to join that experimental laboratory on the island had been entirely due to her finding him a traditional herbal apothecary.

That connection was what allowed him to join the medical research team. Unfortunately, in the end, he put her on the operating table and removed her kidney.

Noelle had no intention of exposing Carl now, though. She actually thought this development might not be a bad thing, as rich people were indeed obsessed with becoming younger. Perhaps Bradley would agree to stop working for the Merlocks because of this opportunity.

Mia walked over and said, "Noelle, I checked for you, and it's true that Laura has hooked up with the King of Spas."

Grace joined in, "That King of Spas? I've heard about him, too. His son is also a jerk. I heard he was charged with rape, but some hotshot lawyer helped him get away with it. What a despicable lawyer!"

Noelle cleared her throat, glancing at Grace. That's my current lawyer."
