After waking up the next day, Noelle immediately contacted Jeremy and said, "Are you free today? Let's go to the detention center."
"Has Cedric agreed to testify?" Jeremy asked.
"Yes."
Jeremy twirled his pen as he asked, "How did you convince him to help?"
"I didn't really have to convince him. I just told him about it, and he agreed."
"That easy?"
Jeremy found it hard to believe. He could not but wonder if Cedric was still the same person that he knew. He continued, "Alright, but we'll need Cedric to go to the police station himself. Otherwise, Mr. Quigley will not believe what you said."
Noelle fell silent for a moment as she realized that what he said made sense.
She replied, "I'll tell him about it."
"It's fine. I'll contact him as your lawyer," Jeremy said.
Noelle suddenly remembered the tension between Jeremy and Cedric and said, "I'll do it myself. It's just easier this way."
Jeremy sounded a little disappointed as he replied, "Alright, but if you can get him to go to the police station today, just let me know, and I'll come with you."
"Alright."
Noelle hesitated after hanging up. She wondered about how she could reach out to Cedric.
Just then, Mia returned to the dorm in a different set of clothes. She held up the breakfast in her hand and said, "You're up already? Let's have breakfast."
Grace then asked, "Mia, tell us the truth. Did you spend the night with Eugene?"
