The sudden turn of events caught everyone off guard.
Noelle reacted faster than Xenia and ran to Wyatt's side. "Wyatt, are you okay? Your leg is bleeding!"
She stared exaggeratedly at Wyatt's artificial leg. Sure enough, blood had started to seep through.
Noelle immediately picked up the prosthetic from the floor. "This isn't suitable for you at all, Wyatt. Why are you forcing yourself to wear it? The design is flawed and is causing injuries!"
As soon as she said that, the reporters swarmed in, snapping photos. Noelle began explaining the design flaws to them in detail.
Donovan rushed over and snatched the prosthetic from her hands. "Noelle, what nonsense are you spouting?"
"Donovan, I'm doing this for Wyatt's good. We're family. Would I ever try to harm you?" Noelle completely shut Donovan down.
She looked at him. "Even if you scold me, I still have to speak the truth. Your team rushed this design. It's full of issues. Didn't any of you notice the injury on Wyatt's leg? Are you blind?"
Her eyes watered as she spoke. Then she crouched in front of Wyatt. "Wyatt, the wound is obviously from friction. Don't lie and say you're fine just to protect Donovan's business. Can you really live with the guilt if this product gets released and people like you get hurt?"
Wyatt was stunned by her tear-filled eyes. Was this really the same Noelle he knew? That brat had never shown this much concern for his leg before. But then again, she had always been thoughtful and looked out for him before the fallout with the family.
For the first time in a long while, Wyatt recalled the good Noelle had done for him. His expression softened. "I was worried about Donovan's success..."
"Wyatt! What the hell are you saying?" Donovan was baffled. Couldn't Wyatt see Noelle was doing this on purpose?
Noelle stood up. "Donovan, you've gone too far. You forced Wyatt to put on a brave face while in pain for the sake of your project. Don't you have a heart?"
Donovan was beyond furious.
