Noelle saw that Donovan's eyes were bloodshot, seemingly ready to devour someone alive.
Meanwhile, her eyes were filled with mockery. She sneered and said, "Did I say something wrong? Judging from what Sean said just now, it sounds like a man with a criminal record like him getting a job as our parents' chauffeur was all thanks to you."
She stepped forward, stared at him, and continued, "If it wasn't because of you, how could our parents have ever hired Sean as their driver? If that had never happened, then the accident would've never happened, either.
"In the end, you're the one who caused their deaths! You're the one who killed our parents, Donovan!"
Cedric spoke up as well with an extremely icy tone. "For so many years, everyone had been accusing Noelle of causing her parents' death when it was actually you who caused all of this to happen. And yet, you could not bring yourself to admit your faults."
"No, I didn't! Don't just accuse me out of nowhere!" Donovan shouted.
His body was trembling with anger as he felt himself losing control of his emotions. He staggered backward as he felt a metallic taste surging through his throat. Then, he stumbled a few more steps and eventually coughed up a mouthful of blood before collapsing to the ground unconscious.
Noelle felt a mix of emotions washing over herself as she watched the scene unfold. Cedric's cold and merciless words had stabbed straight into Donovan's heart like a dagger.
Even someone as selfish and hypocritical as Donovan could not bear the heavy blow and fainted from shock.
Cedric looked at Noelle and said, "Don't feel bad. He had been dumping all the blame on you and turned all your brothers against you for so many years.
"The truth is, it was him who had something to do with your parents' death, not you. A hypocrite like him isn't fit to be your brother, and you don't have to recognize him as family either."
Noelle let out a self-mocking smile. "I've only just found out that Sean was hired as my parents' chauffeur because of Donovan as well."
But Donovan never told anyone about it and kept it a secret for all these years. It was nothing but ironic.
She recalled how she had done everything she could in order to please her brothers in her past life, only to realize now that they never deserved her in the first place. It was nothing short of laughable.
Noelle glanced at Donovan lying on the floor and said, "Send him to the hospital. It'd be a hassle if he died here."
She did not expect Donovan to cough up blood from anger.
Cedric immediately arranged for his men to bring Donovan to the hospital, and Noelle said, "I'll go to the hospital too."
"What are you going there for?" he asked.
"There's something I need to clarify with the rest of the Liddell family. I don't think Donovan can be trusted, but if we were to end up in court, we'd still need someone to represent the family."
