As soon as Noelle said those words, everyone's expression shifted. That, of course, included Xenia. After all, she thought no one would ever find out about this.
When she saw that Sean had not been caught earlier, she assumed Noelle had no clue about his plastic surgery. Yet, it turned out that Noelle actually knew about this.
Xenia quickly looked up, trying to explain. "I really didn't know—"
Before she could say more, Noelle slapped her hard across the face. "You expect me to believe you didn't know Sean got plastic surgery? That you've never even seen his new face?"
Her cheek stung painfully, and she did not even dare to respond. Instead, she turned toward Wyatt with panic in her eyes. "Wyatt, I..."
However, Wyatt grabbed her hand and said, "I want the truth. Did you or did you not know about Sean's plastic surgery?"
Xenia quickly said, "I wasn't trying to hide it on purpose. I really thought you all had already caught him and were aware of it. I only just realized Noelle's been lying to me this whole time."
Her mind was racing fast. She absolutely could not admit to anything right now, or her days in the Liddell family would be numbered.
She silently cursed, "Damn Noelle… how did she even find out? And if she knows this, then maybe she's close to finding Dad, too."
Wyatt stared at her and asked, "Then why didn't you say anything before when I asked?"
"I thought you already knew. That's the only reason I didn't mention it. I didn't mean to," Xenia replied with a pitiful look.
Noelle cut in before Xenia could talk more. "Fine. If you hadn't hidden it before, then you shouldn't have had any problem describing what Sean looks like now. Go ahead. Tell us."
This was the perfect opportunity, and she had Wyatt to thank for it. Without him, she would not have known how to start pressing Xenia.
Xenia's expression froze. She had calculated so many things, but not this.
Noelle stared her down. "Say it."
