No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 769

Xenia's expression shifted dramatically after hearing Noelle's reply. She immediately broke out into a cold sweat again. She did not expect Noelle to actually possess any evidence.

She then wondered why Noelle had decided to stay silent for so long if she did have the evidence. She wondered if Noelle was simply bluffing. After all, Noelle had no reason not to bring it out earlier if she did, in fact, already have the evidence at hand.

Xenia calmed down after deciding that Noelle was simply faking it. She looked up at Noelle and said, "Then show us your so-called evidence. I won't let you slander me without any proof!"

She was betting that Noelle had nothing.

Noelle replied, "Of course. There's no reason for me to keep hiding it at this point."

Donovan could not help but ask, "Noelle, why didn't you tell us right away when you managed to get ahold of the evidence?"

"Because the culprit has ties to Mr. Quigley. I had no reason to tell you because you wouldn't have believed me then. And worse, you might've alerted them, and we'd lose our chance to catch Mr. Quigley."

Donovan fell silent after hearing Noelle's explanation. He realized that she was right; he definitely would not have believed her back then. It was only then that he realized just how little he trusted Noelle, who was supposed to be his one and only younger sister.

Wyatt grumbled and said, "Enough talk, Noelle. If you claim to have the evidence, just show it to us."

Noelle pulled out her phone and showed them the surveillance footage. "This person showed up at the villa after Gordon was locked in the basement. He's the one who killed Gordon."

Donovan looked at the man in the footage and asked, "Who is he?"

Noelle replied, "It's one of Mr. Quigley's accomplices, obviously. Who else could it be? Do you think he could've pulled off all of this on his own?"
