Wyatt enjoyed the way Xenia looked at him with those pleading eyes. He turned to Noelle and said, "Let her go."
Noelle raised an eyebrow. "What makes you think you can order me around?"
Feeling slightly embarrassed, he turned to look at Xenia and said, "Just answer honestly."
However, Xenia wasn't willing to give up and wanted Wyatt to help her.
Frank couldn't stand it anymore. He walked over and gave Xenia a hard slap. "I said talk! Otherwise, no one can save you!"
"W-What are you doing? This is illegal!" Xenia protested.
Noelle's voice was cold as she shot back, "What about Sean's crimes? What about you embezzling funds? All of those are illegal, too!"
Xenia finally started feeling afraid as she lowered her head and silently calculated her next move.
"Are you going to talk or not?" Noelle snapped. Her patience was wearing thin.
"My dad told me to transfer the money away, and I was to find a chance to meet up with him. He'd help me change my identity and start a new life somewhere else. That way, you guys will never find me."
Of all people, Donovan had the most intense reaction when he heard that. His hand had just been bandaged, and now, he glared at Xenia coldly. "I've never treated you badly since we were kids. Why would you do that with Sean?"
Xenia shrank back and was full of tears. "I felt like Noelle had everything, and I had nothing. Plus, my dad kept threatening me that if I didn't go along with his plan, he'd expose himself, and you all would kick me out of the Liddell family!"
"You should've told us then. The car accident had nothing to do with you, and I wouldn't have blamed you. But since you hid everything and betrayed the Liddell family, you're doomed for good."
Xenia dropped to her knees and cried, "Donovan, I understand I've messed up now."
"If you do, prove it. Tell us everything you know. Where's the money?" Money was all Donovan cared about now.
"I don't know anything! Didn't Noelle catch my dad? She should've gotten the money, right?"
