Noelle nodded. "I'm ready."
The girl, Averie Vance, looked at the student government president, Scott Hardin, in disbelief. "You're saying Noelle is going on stage to give a speech?"
"Yeah."
"How is that possible? Why would Noelle be the one to give a speech as the student representative? She has a terrible reputation in school, and hardly anyone likes her. I think this decision is totally unfair."
Averie was visibly upset. Scott looked a little speechless. "Who said Noelle is going on stage as the student representative?"
"But the school arranged for the student representative to speak, and you just told her to get ready to go on stage."
Wouldn't that mean she was the student representative?
"Noelle is representing a tech company on stage!" Scott only found out today. The school sure was full of hidden talents. He was genuinely surprised that a freshman was already an executive at a tech company.
Averie was stunned. "That makes no sense! Noelle is just a freshman, so how is that even possible?"
The surrounding students looked equally shocked. Deep down, most of them didn't believe it, either. They were all students, so no matter how capable Noelle was, this seemed way beyond anything a student could achieve.
Noelle checked the time and turned to Scott. "I'll get myself ready."
"Go ahead. Speak up if you need any help."
After Noelle left, Averie looked completely unhinged. "This can't be true… Are you sure you didn't make a mistake?"
"No mistake. Noelle is a core member of the tech department at Maple Enterprise. I heard she's involved in their AI project."
Even Scott was still in shock after learning the news recently. Averie gasped. "Do you mean the tech company that's been blowing up lately?"
She'd once dreamed of joining Maple Enterprise after graduating from university.
Grace, who'd been listening nearby, chimed in, "That's not all. Noelle is currently a shareholder of Maple Enterprise, and she gets pretty hefty dividends every year. Once the company is listed, she'll have financial freedom."
