No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 439

Noelle's voice was laced with sarcasm.

Xenia gritted her teeth in hatred. One day, when she had taken everything from the Liddell family, she would make Noelle suffer a fate worse than death. She swore it.

Blake smacked Xenia on the head. "What are you staring at? Apologize!"

Enduring the pain, Xenia forced herself to speak. "Noelle, it was all my fault. It was my reckless words that made Blake resent you."

Noelle almost laughed at this.

Blake turned to Noelle. "You heard her. I was deceived by her, which led to a misunderstanding. I only made things difficult for you because of that."

"I see." Noelle responded indifferently, "Are you done? If so, I'm leaving."

She turned to leave when Blake's voice rang out behind her. "Noelle, I told you it was all a misunderstanding. Can't you just reconcile with me?"

Reconcile? Noelle turned back to him. "You think a few half-hearted apologies are enough for me to let everything go? Then what about all the suffering I went through?"

Did he really think a show of remorse would make her forgive him? Not a chance.

Blake's face fell. "Noelle, I'll make Xenia go through whatever you went through. Will that satisfy you?"

Make Xenia suffer the same way? Noelle glanced at Xenia. "That's nowhere near enough."

She saw the colors drained from Xenia's face. Xenia was already in excruciating pain. Was Noelle really planning to have her beaten to death?

Blake stepped forward, about to say more, but Tilly blocked his way. "Mr. Liddell, please stop right there."

After Tilly left, Noelle opened her laptop. Her fingers danced across the keyboard, quickly hacking into Xenia's phone.

After what had just happened, Xenia would probably reach out to her father soon. Noelle searched through Xenia's phone and, sure enough, found a conversation. But it only contained two short messages.

Sean had told Xenia to act pitifully and gain Donovan's sympathy so they could drain the Liddell family dry. So that was their plan.

Noelle suddenly recalled her past life. Back then, she had found proof of Xenia forging medical records and leaking Donovan's company secrets, but none of her brothers believed her.

In the end, Noelle was kicked out of the family, locked in a psychiatric hospital, and died a miserable death. She had no idea whether Xenia had succeeded in ruining the Liddell family in the end.

Thinking about it now, Xenia couldn't have done it all alone. Someone must have been helping her from the shadows.
