No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 421

Blake felt a burning pain coming from his face. He never expected his face to be injured. If his appearance could not be restored, then he would not be able to survive within the entertainment industry.

He had even planned to compete for the Best Actor award that year. But now that his face was ruined, he would no longer have the chance to win.

Donovan walked over and pressed Blake back down into his bed. "Calm down, Blake. Your wounds aren't healed yet, and you're still on an IV."

Blake was completely hysterical and refused to listen to anyone. "Donovan, it was Noelle! She planned all of this! I wouldn't have gotten hurt if she hadn't set me up!"

Donovan took a look at the wounds on Blake's face and reassured him. "Don't worry, Blake. Carl's been a doctor for so many years now; fixing your face shouldn't be a problem for him."

Blake suddenly calmed down a little as he scanned his surroundings. "Where's Noelle? She made me into such a mess, and she's not even showing her face?"

Frank walked over and said, "Blake, you're the one that attacked Noelle first. How can you say that she's the one who hurt you?"

"You're obviously being biased toward Noelle, Frank. Of course, you'd take her side!"

Blake would never admit to starting it. If the truth got out, his career would be over. He was putting on an act since he had already noticed that the police were actually in the room.

Sure enough, one of the officers stepped forward and asked, "Noelle is injured as well. Mr. Blake, why did you attack her?"

Blake's tone was filled with grief, as if he had been betrayed by his loved ones. "We were just rehearsing! I was teaching her about acting! I never expected her to set me up by live streaming and even calling the police on me!"

Xenia chimed in. "That's right! I can even vouch that Noelle's bad performance held up the filming process yesterday, which is why Blake decided to take the time to coach her today! I never expected that she'd do something like this!"

Frank glared at Xenia from the side. "Noelle isn't that kind of person!"

Blake's voice was hoarse as he explained, "You can ask the production team about Noelle's bad performance causing a delay to the filming schedule. They all know that I'm not lying about this!"

The police officer then asked, "Mr. Blake, if you were just rehearsing, then why did Noelle actually get injured?"

Blake's agency had already issued a statement claiming that the two of them were simply rehearsing a scene. They contended that Noelle had initially planned to record a video so that she could practice her lines at home but had accidentally started a live stream instead, leading to a huge misunderstanding.

As of now, public opinion had sided with the explanation that Noelle and Blake were simply just rehearsing. Noelle did not respond to the statement, as whatever she said at the moment would only be met with attacks from Blake's fans.

She decided to wait for the police investigation to be finished before releasing her own statement. It would be the most effective approach.

Suddenly, a voice rang out. "Ms. Liddell, you're awake? May we have a word with you?"

Noelle's expression turned cold when she saw that the people from TG Public Relations had returned. "Like I said, I'm not agreeing to any of your terms."

"You misunderstand, Ms. Liddell. We're your PR team now," Tilly handed Noelle a business card once more.

"My name is Tilly Lozano. Feel free to save my number in your contacts. You can contact me anytime if you need anything."
