Frank smiled bitterly. "Noelle was also taken to the hospital for emergency treatment."
Donovan's voice immediately shrank down as his expression became twisted. "What? She's hurt as well?"
Frank was furious. "Don't you know about Blake's temper, Donovan? How could Noelle not get hurt? Donovan, you've never even asked about Noelle from the very beginning. She's our sister, too, you know?"
Moreover, the live stream clearly showed that Blake started the fight.
Donovan quickly explained, "But Noelle's quite skilled as well. Who knows who would win if they fought?"
Xenia spoke up. "Donovan, Noelle's only suffered minor external injuries, but Blake was so gravely injured that he even got disfigured! It's going to be difficult to make a full recovery! What will he do from now on?"
"His face is ruined?" Donovan did not expect things to be that bad.
Looks were everything in the entertainment industry, and if Blake's appearance was ruined, his career would also be over. Donovan finally approached the unconscious Blake. He immediately fell silent upon seeing the scars on Blake's face.
He then turned to look at Frank furiously. "Can't you see the injuries on Blake's face? Why are you still siding with Noelle?"
"I can see Blake's injuries just fine, Donovan, but this has nothing to do with Noelle," Frank replied.
"How could it have nothing to do with her? It was all caught on the live stream!"
Frank replied helplessly. "But it was Blake that started the fight, was it not?"
He became so worked up that he could not help but cough. Donovan was furious, but he did not want to argue further with Frank. He knew that the reason all of his younger brothers were in such a sorry state was all related to Noelle.
Just then, the police entered the room and said, "Is Mr. Blake still unconscious? We'll need to take his statement later."
Xenia hurriedly explained, "I wasn't at the scene when it happened, Frank. I only realized what had happened when the police arrived! Blake was already like this when they carried him out of the building, which is why I mistakenly thought that it was related to Noelle."
Frank pressed on. "So you've never seen anything! Then, why did you tell Donovan misleading details that made him think Noelle was the one that hurt Blake?"
Xenia took a step back and hesitated. "I didn't do that."
Frank grew angrier the more he spoke. "Every time something happens, you deliberately twist the truth to smear Noelle! The reason our family has been falling apart is all because of you manipulating us, Xenia! We should have never taken you into our family!"
Donovan immediately stepped in front of Frank and said, "That's going too far, Frank! Xenia's father died saving our parents. We have a duty to take care of her!"
"Exactly, which is why I've treated Xenia well in the past. But now, I never thought that she'd turn out to be such an ungrateful monster!" Frank replied.
