Noelle said nothing for a while.
Donovan continued, "Noelle, you're not allowed to see him at the hospital. You were the one who caused Lucas and Frank to be in this situation. You should be too shameless to come!"
James was extremely anxious. He asked, "Mr. Liddell, how could you say that?"
"Am I wrong? Why is Frank in the emergency room?"
"However, he did this willingly. The person he wants to see the most is Ms. Liddell. Those are his wishes. You can't stop him!"
James begged, "Ms. Liddell!"
"I didn't say I'd go to the hospital. He just lost some blood. Frank's not going to die."
Noelle wasn't dumb. She wouldn't go running to the hospital just because he inflicted some pain on himself.
She had died alone in her past life. All her brothers were by Xenia's side. Noelle just hung up.
James watched her hang up. He felt helpless and couldn't even straighten up.
Donovan stared at his phone incredulously. "Did she just hang up like that? Is she really not going to take a look at him? The patient in the emergency room is her own brother!"
"Mr. Donovan, hadn't you prohibited her from coming?"
"I said it in a fit of rage. How could she not come?"
James smirked. "Mr. Donovan, there's no need to insult your family. Peaceful interaction should be the goal."
"Am I not interacting with her peacefully?"
"Mr. Donovan, you were able to navigate insults from your enemies with grace. Why do you have to be so mean toward Ms. Liddell? I don't understand. Shouldn't you be more patient and accepting of her?"
James didn't get it.
Frank understood now, but Noelle had been devastated. It was too late for regret.
Donovan didn't know what to say. He didn't think he was wrong. Noelle had made a mistake. Did she want him to apologize to her and appease her? He was her elder brother! No way!
He probably wouldn't go to a high school to be a small school medic. After all, he came from such a prominent background.
They probably knew each other out of blind luck. Donovan sighed in relief. As long as he wasn't, it would be fine.
Noelle didn't go back to school. She went back to her place. She still needed to do her live streams.
Upon getting back, she saw the male shoes by the side of the door. She kicked them aside before stuffing it into a drawer.
Noelle did not have much of an appetite, so she didn't eat much. When she turned on her stream, she wasn't in a good mood. However, she still began a PK ranked match.
The game had released a new character, so Noelle showed them how to play it. Before finishing her stream, she chatted for a bit. Someone mentioned the stock prices of the Liddells plummeting.
Noelle glanced at the comment and replied, "I no longer have anything to do with them. I don't care."
She had argued with a commenter ferociously. Everyone knew that she was amazing at roasting others.
After the stream ended, Noelle rubbed her stomach. She was feeling a little hungry.
