No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 1447

Noelle glared at Carl as her eyes burned with hatred. He found himself failing to hold her gaze and had no choice but to look away.

"Carl didn't mean it like that, Noelle…" Frank chimed in.

"Then how did he mean it? He's trying to get me to beg him, isn't he?

"I did that for my friends and Cedric, but why should I do that now that I have nothing left to fear!"

With that, she turned and sprinted toward the sea.

Carl and Frank's faces paled as they immediately ran after her, and the latter anxiously called out, "What are you doing? Come back!"

But Noelle ignored him and charged straight into the water. She didn't want to die, though, so they soon dragged her back to shore.

She collapsed on the beach, coughing and choking from the mouthful of seawater. Deep down, she cursed. "Fuck, that's one convincing act."

Carl raged. "What the hell were you thinking! The tides in this part of the water are treacherous after nightfall, and if you get pulled under, there'd be no way to save you in time!"

He genuinely hadn't expected her to run into the sea at night. If a wave had hit her, she could have been swept away in seconds.

"My life, my choice! It's none of your business that I want to die, and if you think you can control me, try tying me up!"

"You think I won't?" Carl shot back.

Again, Frank stepped between them and pulled Carl away. "Enough."

Noelle stared them down and sharply said, "You owe me, so you should be the ones on your knees, begging me to forgive you. Who the hell do you think you are, acting so high and mighty?"

Carl was left speechless, only to see Noelle point straight at him and say, "Especially you!"
