Frank felt as if his heart had been stabbed with a dagger after hearing Noelle's words. He had never imagined Noelle would see him that way.
Noelle looked at him with a mocking gaze and continued, "What, do you think you've been doing a good job?"
Frank replied, "But I was the first to notice that something was off about Xenia, weren't I? I've always been on your side!"
"You say that, but you've always been nothing but a fence-sitter. You said that you'd make it up to me, but what have you done for me?"
Frank quickly replied, "I'm willing to do anything for you."
Noelle questioned her brother in front of her. "What if I asked you to get me out of here? Or to contact Cedric for me? Would you dare to do that?"
Frank fell silent once more. She scoffed and continued, "See? Am I wrong? Did you think that visiting me on the island counts as being a good brother to me? Just how fake can you be?"
Frank slowly clenched his hand into a fist. "This isn't something I can decide on my own."
"Enough already. Stop making excuses."
With that, Noelle turned and walked away. She no longer wanted to deal with the Liddells.
Wyatt walked over to Frank and said, "She's really angry at us. Maybe we really should tell Cedric about all of this."
"No!" Frank shouted. But the next moment, he recalled Noelle's mocking words and slumped down onto a chair. "Just what am I supposed to do?"
Carl walked over and said, "You should do as I say. Noelle won't treat us like this once she has forgotten about everything."
Frank did not respond further. Meanwhile, Noelle had already returned to her room.
She began to think about Wyatt's prosthetic while she was taking a shower, wondering if she could somehow tamper with it.
