No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 1380

Mia looked at Anastasia and replied, "You both should go back and get some rest, Mrs. Greene and Mrs. Greene Senior. We'll let you know if there's any news."

Anastasia looked at Cedric and said, "Money won't be an issue so long as we can keep Noelle safe and back home. I've already made up my mind on this."

Emma nodded in agreement. "Your grandmother is right, Cedric."

Cedric's throat moved slightly as he replied with difficulty. "I'll definitely bring her back home."

Anastasia and Emma then left together.

Mia turned back to Cedric and said, "We should get going, too. There's no point in wasting time here now that we know that Noelle's still alive."

Eugene added, "I already have my men searching everywhere. Ivy's men are all foreigners, so they won't be that hard to spot."

Cedric stood up and replied, "Let's get going then. We'll find Noelle even if we have to turn the entirety of Yasnia upside down."

Everyone split up by the riverside.

Eugene left together with Mia. He looked at her and said, "You need to be careful as well. You're a member of the Cantrells, after all. That's why, from now on, you have to stay by my side at all times."

Mia replied, "I understand. Why did Ivy's men go after Noelle in particular? If they wanted to abduct someone, shouldn't it have been me instead? Something about this doesn't sit right with me."

She genuinely did not expect Ivy's subordinates to target Noelle.

He replied, "We don't know that yet. But in terms of money, abducting Noelle was actually the most profitable option of all."

She still felt guilty about it. "Yeah, but it just feels like Noelle got dragged into this mess because of my family."

Eugene then hugged Mia and replied, "It's not your fault. Once we find Noelle and the abductors themselves, we'll finally find out about what's really going on."
