"Then keep looking!" she barked, instantly losing her temper.

There was a short pause before Eason replied, "We've started searching, but that's not what I called for. I called for money. One of our foreign branches is under investigation."

"What? Why would they investigate our company?"

"They claimed one of the accountants was falsifying accounts and embezzling funds. The authorities are looking into it now, and all the computers in the office have been seized."

"Who's behind this?" Ivy asked, rubbing her temples.

"No one's targeting us. I looked into it and found that it's a real issue."

"Why do all these problems keep piling up? Fire that accountant immediately. We won't press charges; just settle it as soon as possible."

The last thing she needed right now was the police taking too much interest in her affairs. She was about to say more when there was a knock on the door from Mia.
