Noelle invited Mia to meet at a cafe for coffee. She arrived earlier than the latter. When she saw Mia approaching, she greeted her and said, "I brought you a gift, Mia."

"Thank you," Mia replied. She then sat down and let out a sigh. "I'm really envious of you for being able to leave the house on vacation."

Noelle asked, "So, what did you do over the New Year holidays?"

"I spent my time building up my relations with the family elders. I have to get their support if I want to take over the Cantrell family in the future, after all."

Mia knew that even though she had inherited all of her father's assets, she still did not have the final say within Cantrell Corporation.

Noelle could see just how exhausted Mia was. "All of these social events must have left you exhausted. By the way, no one followed you out today, right?"

Mia explained, "I already told Ivy that I was meeting you. She didn't get suspicious, so she didn't send anyone to follow me."

"Then I guess she trusts you quite a lot. Your acting skills are pretty good. You even managed to fool her of all people."

Mia took a sip of her coffee and explained, "I think I've gotten better at holding myself back. I really wanted to slap her whenever she tried to subtly drive a wedge between us."

Noelle replied, "It'll be over soon. According to reliable sources, there's only about a month left."

Mia took a deep breath and replied, "So it's finally going to be over soon."

Once everything was wrapped up, she also wanted to exact revenge for her father.

Noelle smiled. "Let's not think about that for today. We're gonna go shopping and let ourselves unwind a little. I don't want you to bottle up all your feelings."

If Noelle was not the one inviting Mia to hang out, Ivy would have sent someone to follow Mia. That was also the reason why Mia did not leave the house much during the New Year holidays.
