Noelle leaned into Cedric's embrace and wrapped her arms around his neck. She actually missed him a lot.
Cedric only stopped kissing her when she was running out of breath. Then, he caressed the corner of her lips, wanting to kiss her more. Then, he said with an attractive voice, "Are you busy tonight?"
"Nope."
After she said that, she could see his gaze shifting greatly. Then, she suddenly understood what was on his mind and hurriedly tried to get out of his arms.
However, he was quicker than her, and he grabbed her waist right away. Then, he bit her ear and said, "Why are you running? Are you worried I would devour you?"
Noelle could feel the warmth of his breath, and she said with a blushing face, "I've just remembered that I might have to work overtime tonight."
"Just do it tomorrow."
She looked back at him with a subtle smile. "That's not what the man in the meeting room said just now. He even told us to work harder. So, what are you doing now?"
"Well, we should have a healthy work-life balance," he said after clearing his throat.
She confidently slapped his hand away. "That's not right. If you ask me why I can't show you any results during our next meeting, shall I tell everyone you're the one who's wasting my time?"
He narrowed his eyes and grabbed her chin. "You're getting good at threatening people. I know I won't be wasting any time in just one night."
"What if I really can't finish my tasks on time? Are you really going to start firing us?"
"No. But if someone's incapable at work, I'll definitely fire them." He added with a raised eyebrow, "This is just business strategy. You'll need to keep your timeframe shorter, or you'll only procrastinate more in the future."
"You sure are scheming."
