When Noelle heard that it was someone from the Cantrells, she thought of Ivy immediately. After all, she had recently discovered something suspicious about the latter.
Carl nodded. "That's right. She's the one."
She was stunned for a moment when she heard the answer. "I can't believe it's her…"
Noelle was surprised that Ivy had been able to hide it so well. For the past few years, Ivy wasn't hiding in another country at all. Instead, she was scamming people from there, manipulating everything from a computer.
Carl added, "I know you're worried about your friend. However, with someone like Ivy around, I'm afraid she has already set her eyes on your friend's assets."
"You're right. Her assets have already been used for investments."
Noelle was upset. Although it seemed like Ivy didn't care about money on the surface, she had already set everything up beforehand. Then, Salena would fall for it.
At that moment, most of Mia's assets had already been taken by PZ Group. With that thought in mind, Noelle was furious. Ivy acted like she didn't care, but she still pulled the trigger on Mia in the end.
Noelle said through gritted teeth, "That woman sure put on a great act throughout these years."
"If you want to help your friend get back her money, I'm afraid it won't be easy. PZ Group might make a run for it at any moment."
"As long as we make Ivy stay, we'll have a chance to get the money back. She has been hiding her true colors carefully, so I'm sure she wouldn't want to be exposed, either. After all, why would she do that if she isn't alive to spend all the money she has scammed?"
Noelle thought Ivy and Sean were the same kind of people. Although they valued money, they also cherished their lives.
"Since you already have a plan, I guess I can stop worrying now," Carl said with a smile.
She looked at him with a complicated gaze. She couldn't believe he was reborn as well. It finally made sense to her why he seemed different when she first saw him.
