No Divorce? The Billionaire's Love Chase! novel Chapter 753

York's continued silence made Claudia's heart race with fear.

She didn't dare to ask any more questions and ran home in tears.

“Claudia!”

York instinctively reached out to grab her, but he was a second too late.

Watching her crying figure run away, York felt a sudden, heavy pressure in his chest.

If she hadn't suddenly confessed after her eighteenth birthday, if her behavior toward him hadn't grown more and more audacious, he never would have had to say this to her.

But it was probably for the best that she knew.

At least it would make her give up and focus on her studies.

An hour or so later, outside the Ferguson Mansion.

York's car was stopped by Peter Louis.

Seeing York’s grim expression, Peter asked with concern, “Why do you look so awful?”

York got out of the car and handed the keys to a servant from the mansion.

The servant drove the car through the gates.

York leaned against Peter's sports car, his eyes a little vacant. “What's up?”

Peter looked York up and down.

“Wendy and Darleen moved out to the Vance estate. Are you really supporting your parents’ divorce?”

“Your parents have been fighting for years, and you’ve never gotten involved. Why the sudden support for their divorce?”

York looked up at the night sky, taking several deep breaths, but he couldn't shake the frustration gnawing at him.

“I don’t know what happened,” he said. “I just suddenly got sick of hearing them argue.”

Especially after that dream, he had become easily irritable.

In the dream, the Watkins Group family had gone bankrupt.

The image of Claudia looking at him with tears in her eyes flashed in his mind, and a sharp pain lanced through York’s chest.

After Peter left, York stood outside the gate for a long time before going in.

When Sewell Ferguson saw York return, he was seething with anger. “Encouraging your parents to divorce, and you still have the nerve to come back!”

York glanced at his father and walked straight toward the stairs.

Sewell was about to step forward when Butler Palmer bravely intercepted him. “Sir, the young master hasn't been sleeping well since his accident last year. Whatever it is, it can wait until tomorrow.”

Old Mr. Ferguson scolded his son, then instructed Butler Palmer, “Don’t forget to send the young master his calming tea.”

York drank the calming tea before bed.

But that night, he still had a dream.

In the vast bedroom, only a faint sliver of light filtered through a gap in the curtains.

The person on the bed was sleeping very restlessly.
