No Divorce? The Billionaire's Love Chase! novel Chapter 442

He stood with his back to Peter, his expression hidden.

Peter walked over to York and deliberately provoked him, "Did I hear a slap out there just now?"

York raised a hand, his fingertips lightly touching the cheek Claudia had struck.

He glanced at Peter but said nothing.

After finishing the cigarette, the two of them went downstairs.

When Claudia came out of the restroom, she borrowed a shawl from Fidelia Harvest to cover the mark on her neck.

Claudia said a quick goodbye to Gideon Harvest and left early.

Rock Sayer tugged at the fringe on her shawl. "Claudia, are you cold?"

Claudia answered smoothly, "I accidentally got my dress wet in the restroom. It looked a bit improper."

Little Hugh was getting sleepy and was about to leave anyway, so he and his father walked out of the banquet hall with Claudia.

At the door, Hawley clung to Claudia's hand, refusing to let go. "Daddy, I want to go to Claudia's house."

Hugh picked up his son. "Claudia is very tired tonight, and she has to work tomorrow. Hawley, you need to be a good boy."

Hawley pouted. "Daddy, you come to Claudia's house with me. We can sleep with Claudia, and then you can drive her to work in the morning."

Before the little boy could finish, Rock Sayer came over and tweaked his ear. "You little rascal, you're not just trying to find a mom for yourself, you're trying to find a wife for your dad!"

Hugh looked at Claudia with a serious expression and apologized, "I'm sorry, Dr. Watkins. Children speak nonsense. I'll have a talk with him when we get home."

After Hugh and his son left, Claudia, her brother, and Rock Sayer got into the car to go home.

As Rock Sayer drove, he muttered, "Claudia, that son of Mr. Ferguson is a crafty little devil. You'd better watch out."

Claudia couldn't help but laugh. "He's just a kid. Don't make a big deal out of it."

To help her finalize the divorce, he had put pressure on York, not hesitating to offend both the Vance and Ferguson families.

Now that she knew something was wrong with Cyrus, she couldn't just stand by and watch.

After work, Claudia drove to Grant Manor alone.

Since she hadn't called Cyrus beforehand, she parked outside the estate, trying to think of an excuse for her visit.

Just then, a junk removal truck pulled up slowly in front of Grant Manor.

Two middle-aged men got out and walked straight toward Claudia's car.

Claudia checked the time. It wasn't even seven o'clock.

She often saw garbage trucks in her own neighborhood, so she didn't think much of it at first.

The two men stood outside her car and asked, "Miss, are you the owner of this estate?"
