No Divorce? The Billionaire's Love Chase! novel Chapter 415

Claudia watched Ann's angry outburst, her own face calm and almost blank.

She couldn't even be bothered to respond.

Ann had ended up in this position because of her insatiable greed.

If she had just taken the sixty million and stopped there. Or if she had taken the thirty million from the Delaney family and been satisfied. Or even if she had accepted York's offer of a generous settlement and taken his credit card to disappear.

If she had done any of those things, she wouldn't have ended up in such a miserable state.

Seeing Ann turn on Claudia, Darleen spoke up angrily. "Ann, I think you've read too many novels where the cold, powerful CEO falls for the Cinderella type. You're delusional. What gave you the confidence to think my brother would marry you after divorcing my sister-in-law?"

Ann, her eyes red with rage, snarled at Darleen, "What do you have to be so smug about, Darleen? If you weren't lucky enough to be born into the right family, you might be even worse off than me."

Wendy held Darleen back.

"Ann," Wendy said calmly, "after you took the sixty million, my father-in-law learned that you hadn't given up and were planning to use a sob story to get back to York. That's why he forced you to marry abroad. All he ever wanted was for you to stay away from our family. Your own impure intentions and your obsession with marrying into wealth brought this upon yourself. You have no one to blame but you."

Seeing how things were turning out, Ann's mother, Laurel, instantly changed her tune. She pointed at Ann and declared, "We had no idea what this wretched girl was doing out there! We've been dragged into this mess by her! Do whatever you want with her, kill her for all we care, just don't involve my son and my grandson!"

Ann's brother and sister-in-law quickly agreed.

Ann stared at her own mother, her brother, her sister-in-law, in disbelief.

York unconsciously took a step toward Claudia. The corners of his eyes were red, and he struggled to form words, but no sound came out.

Claudia glanced at him once, then turned to Rock Sayer. "This is getting boring. Let's go."

Every word Ann said was an undeniable fact. Even if York had dealt with Ann himself, she would never go back to him.

Her issues with York had nothing to do with anyone else. This was all his own doing.

Seeing Claudia's calm attempt to leave, Ann was consumed by jealousy, fury, and resentment. She suddenly grabbed a fruit knife from a nearby serving cart and lunged at Claudia.
