"You're right. It really has been a while." Yesseca replied.
It felt like a century ago.
Yesseca felt her eyes spin.
She worked everyday.
Day after day, all she did was work and felt time pass her by.
But every time she was with Tremaine, time seemed to pass slowly.
Every time they were together, it felt like the world was standing still.
And...
Yesseca suddenly remembered.
She couldn't help herself from smiling widely.
She remembered that they would always have the same conversation every time they met up.
Just like right now.
We haven't seen each other in such a long time.
How are you doing?
They would greet each other politely.
Tremaine noticed her smiling.
Then asked, "What are you smiling for?"
Yesseca asked, "Haven't you noticed that we keep having the same conversation every time we see each other?"
Tremaine smiled wryly.
She was right!
It was the same conversation, every time.
He didn't know what else to say to her aside from the usual polite and somewhat awkwards questions.
After saying that, things began to feel warmer between the two of them. Things didn't feel so awkward anymore.
"Let's talk about something else then," Tremaine suggested.
Yesseca nodded.
Then, the both of them simply looked at each other.
Because they both had no idea what to say to each other.
Meanwhile, Dory and Sheldon were watching them nearby.
Sheldon felt that if they kept dragging this on, they might not make any progress in their forties, fifties and even sixties...
Just like that, their entire lives would pass them by.
Could they still get married?
Sheldon looked over at them.
Tremaine and Yesseca were both quietly sipping water from their cups. Both unsure of what to say to each other.
Sheldon sighed.
He had discovered some time ago that Yesseca had gotten over Tremaine and his blunder.
That's why she's able to be so calm around him now.
But there was still a huge gap between them.
Like a pair of old friends who bumped into each other by chance and having to awkwardly say hello.
That's the feeling Sheldon got with Tremaine and Yesseca.
"Uncle?" Sheldon hadn't responded to her, so Dory pulled on his sleeve.
Sheldon replied, "I don't think they'll get married."
