My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey) novel Chapter 2436

Tremaine said, "I will ask the housekeepers to continue ordering from Yesseca's bakery. Madam Quartley, I hope that you won't do anything behind my back to get rid of my only source of mental support."

"Tremaine, you really are stupid!" Madam Quartley's voice was filled with hostility as she shouted, "Rorita is an excellent woman! The entirety of Quartley Palace approves of her. With such a good woman by your side, why do you need another source of mental support? You're crazy!"

A trace of bitterness flashed in Tremaine's eyes as he replied in a low voice, "Yes, you're right. I really might have gotten crazy after she left me."

After saying that, Tremaine ignored Madam Quartley and continued to stride forwards. However, he stopped after taking two steps.

He spotted Rorita.

She must have overheard the conversation between him and Madam Quartley. Her face was pale, void of any color.

Tremaine was stunned.

He subconsciously opened his mouth, then closed it again. He wanted to explain himself, but soon swallowed back his words.

Forget it. After all, there was nothing to explain.

When marrying Rorita, he had already made things clear to her. He loved another woman and he would never forget about her. Till that day, there was nothing else he needed to explain.

Tremaine, remaining silent, walked away from Rorita.

As Tremaine walked by, Rorita felt a chill run down her spine, similar to how her heart was freezing over at the moment.

She suddenly felt extremely empty.

She finally understood her situation.

"Madam Quartley, I won't look too much into this," Rorita half- heartedly replied, trying to fake nonchalance. "I definitely won't. Don't worry about it, I just haven't eaten breakfast yet, so my blood sugar is a little low. I'll go have breakfast now, and my complexion will improve.

After that, she took her leave. She was afraid that if she stayed for too long, Madam Quartley would see through her.

Although Rorita had said such words, Madam Quartley was still worried.

Looking at Rorita's back as she left, Madam

Quartley said uneasily, "Did Rorita overhear Tremaine just now? I don't understand that man! Why did he say such words? Isn't he aware that he has a wife now? How could he say that Yesseca is one of his sources of mental support?"

"Don't worry, Madam Quartley," Yuliana comforted her. "I'll talk to Rorita. Since we're quite close, I should be able to comfort her."

Madam Quartley immediately replied, "Yes, go talk to Rorita. There's a generation gap between her and I, but you two are closer in age. Go tell her to not overthink things."
