Jasper's throat tightened. He caught ahold of her wrist, and pulled her against himself. His breath was hot and heavy upon her ear: “Throwing yourself onto me, by accident? What a classic routine.”

Hot air blasted against her skin, and a violent shiver ran all the way through her body.

Sensing the danger in her situation, she stammered, “Mr. Hughes, it’s not what you think…”

“You came right up to my desk while I was seated here. You knew exactly what you were doing,” Jasper murmured in that deep, commanding voice of his. With powerful fingers, he seized a firm grip of her waist.

Willow flushed hard, turning red all the way to her ears. “Mr. Hughes… we can’t do this…”

“But what do you mean? What do you think we’re doing?” Jasper’s voice played havoc on her nerves.

His lips clamped gently upon one of her ears.

Alarm bells sounded all throughout Willow’s mind. She wrenched her hand free of his grip, and turned to flee… but one strong arm held her securely in place, so that she couldn’t even rise from his lap.

With one finger from his other hand, he lifted up her chin, and leaned in for a kiss…

Someone knocked twice on the door, and then Edith burst into the room without waiting for an answer. “Mr. Hughes, I left my handphone behind…”

Willow broke free of Jasper, and backed away hurriedly.

In contrast to her panicked agitation, Jasper was just calmly rolling up his sleeves, as cool and dangerous as he always was.

Willow straightened out her clothing in a rush, and made to escape the room… but Edith had already walked over to pick up her phone from the floor. It must have been a stray touch that caused it to be playing that video again, taken from inside the lift earlier.

She’d left her phone behind on purpose. She’d tricked Willow into cleaning Jasper’s desk, so that the other woman would catch sight of herself in Edith’s phone, where the video from the lift camera had been paused.

Edith had even changed the settings on her smartphone, so that the screen wouldn’t turn off no matter how long it was left idle. That way, the scene in that video would always be instantly visible to anyone who caught sight of her phone.

Naturally, Willow would immediately try to explain herself to Jasper… but the more she denied her guilt, the more guilty it would make her seem.

And then Jasper would lose his temper.

That was Edith’s goal: For Jasper to learn to dislike Willow, and see her for the wicked witch that she really was!

She’d never imagined that Willow would start taking her clothes off, as soon as she was alone with the man in his office!
