Kayden had already clarified it, yet Brian still didn't get it.
He said loudly, "Our neighbor is Pretty Ma'am!"
"What?" Brian froze.
Kayden sighed. "Daddy, you're so slow. The neighbor who lived across from our villa—the one I want to bring a gift to, is the doctor who's treating you!"
Brian's expression shifted slightly, and he couldn't help but ask, "How did you know that?"
Brian wasn't hiding anything.
He explained, "I visited her on the day I ran away from home."
Brian was astonished, and even Henry was shocked.
"Are you serious, Kayden? Dr. Mandy lives in the villa right across from us?"
"Yes!" Kayden nodded.
Henry was in disbelief. "I didn't see that coming. What a coincidence!"
Brian felt the same.
But what surprised him even more was that Kayden had known all along.
He asked, "Then why didn't you mention it yesterday?"
Kayden shrugged and answered matter-of-factly, "Because I didn't know yesterday that Pretty Ma'am is your attending doctor."
Brian had no way to reply to that.
Just then, the butler arrived with the prepared fruits and gifts. "Mr. Kayden, everything's ready."
"Thank you!"
Kayden struggled to lift the fancy fruit basket and the gifts beside it.
But just as he was about to step out, Brian stopped him.
Brian had no idea what his son was plotting. He just found his eagerness funny. "Why are you so excited about inviting her for a meal?"
"Because that's how you build relationships! And if Pretty Ma'am is closer to us, she'll take extra care when treating you. I'm doing all this for your sake, Daddy!"
He hoped his father and Charlotte would hit it off.
But he kept these thoughts to himself.
Brian didn't think too deeply about it as he felt like Kayden had a point.
Now that he and Charlotte were not only doctors and patients but also neighbors, they were bound to run into each other. Hence, there was nothing wrong with keeping things friendly.
He reached out and patted Kayden's head. "Since you've decided, go ahead and invite her."
"Okay!" Kayden lit up and quickly informed the butler, "Please make an extra delicious breakfast tomorrow!"
"Alright, Mr. Kayden," Arlo replied with a smile.
