Mr. Harrison, Wake Up—Your Wife's Gone novel Chapter 33

Chapter 33

As more people started posting, a small discussion thread emerged-

Se7ven: I was there live, and honestly, Yesterday Once Morewas the best performance of the night. The song itself, the artist’s skill levelit was the clear winner. But watching the broadcast clips now, it seems pretty average. Weird.[]

Friday: @Se7ven, I was there too. I came out wanting to rewatch it, and then I see this garbage footage. What’s going on? Did the broadcast mess up?]

Se7ven: No idea. Anyone else notice this?]

The comments that followed sparked heated debate-

You two are obviously Elena stans. Slight Lovewas clearly the best!

Right? Yesterday Once Morewas decent, but it can’t touch Slight Love.Plus Vivian isn’t even a professional singer, which makes her performance way more impressive!”]

Vivian’s literally a genius!]]

Se7ven, I personally prefer Yesterday Once Moretoo, but there’s no need to force it. Both songs were beautifulwhy does one have to crush the other?||

Se7ven replied: I’m not forcing anything. I’m just pointing out what actually happened. I loved both Slight Loveand Yesterday Once More, but live, Yesterday Once Morewas more explosive. Especially that violin solo at the endabsolutely stunning. These clips don’t show any of that!]]

Give it a rest, Se7ven. We get it, you’re an Elena superfan. Stop trying to spin this. Thousands of people watchedyou think you’re the only one with eyes?]]

Se7ven had started with genuine questions, but the pushback triggered his stubborn streak. He typed out several hundred words analyzing everything from staging to lighting to audio quality.[]

After posting, he waited for responses. Nothing.]

He scrolled back uphis comment had vanished completely. Looking further, all his previous posts were gone too.[]

Censorship?

But he hadn’t said anything offensive, just raised legitimate questions!

What the hell?

Se7ven clicked on Friday’s profile to send a private message.

Seven: Hey, I was at the Voice of Heaventaping too. All my comments disappeared. What’s your situation?[]

The message immediately triggered a violation noticebanned for 7 days. Friday’s profile showed the same thing.

If Selven had been annoyed before, now he was furious. This was straightup bullying! Classic silencing tactics. No wonder nobody was talking about thisthey were all being muzzled.

Selven wasn’t going down without a fight. He pulled up alternate accounts, rallied his contacts, and created the hashtag

Chapter 33

#YesterdayOnce More Live Audio to get some buzz going.

Just as the controversy was heating up, Amelia stared at Nathan’s message on her phone.[]

Nathan: Grandpa’s condition is bad. He wants to see you.[]

Amelia gripped her phone tighter as an elderly figure flashed through her mind.[]

Grandpa Harrison[

She remembered when she and Nathan got marriedit was supposed to bring the old man good luck during his illness.]

That day, they’d both knelt by his hospital bed while Nathan held her hand and said, Grandpa, I brought Amelia to see you.[]

Amelia and I are getting married.]

Even though Grandpa Harrison was seriously ill, he’d pointed at Nathan and said, If you don’t truly love her, don’t waste her whole life. This old body doesn’t need you two sacrificing yourselves for some superstition!]

The Harrison empire had started when Grandpa Harrison went into business. He was the foundation of everything they’d built. When he spoke, everyone listened.[]

How could she not be moved?]

That day Nathan had sworn at his grandfather’s bedside that he truly loved her and would always treat her well.]

But now

Finally, Amelia closed her eyes. Things change.

Nathan had already asked for divorce. They’d already been to city hall.[]

Dragging her feet about telling the old man they were in the coolingoff period was the most she could manage. Anything more was beyond her reach and not her responsibility.

With that thought, Amelia exited the message screen.[]

Meanwhile, Nathan sat in the back of his Bentley, staring at the message he’d sent.[]

Three minutes had passed. Still no reply.

He scrolled up and realized the last time she’d responded was before they went to city hall

He watched the rain streaking down the window. When had he last seen Amelia? Three days ago at the hospital, maybe. She’d had gauze wrapped around her forehead and had said exactly three things to him:[]

What are you doing!

What happened?

And as he was leaving, she’d called out-Nathan.]

The first two weren’t even directed at him alone.

For some reason, he found himself missing her. Wondering how she was after that fall down the stairs.[]

His brow furrowed. Nathan didn’t understand what was wrong with him todayconstantly thinking about Amelia.[]
