Chapter 69 

Lady Harrison went to take care of Lord 11arrison in his room. 

Amelia and Nathan headed toward the dining hall together. 

Amelia had come tonight to explain the child situation to Lord Harrison. 

After all, she was still Nathan’s wife in name and legally. A child appearing out of nowhere needed explaining. 

But she hadn’t had the chance yet… 

And right now, the old man wasn’t in any condition to listen. 

She’d wait. When William recovered enough to talk to them later, she could speak up then. 

The shuttle cart headed toward the dining hall. 

Amelia and Nathan sat side by side, but with a wide gap between them. 

No one spoke. The air was thick with silence, only the lake’s surface reflecting the cold moonlight. 

Moonlight Manor housed several villas–Lord Harrison, Nathan’s father’s generation, and Nathan’s generation all had their own residences here. 

Lord Harrison’s villa was the main one. For casual family meals, they’d eat at their own places, but for larger family gatherings or entertaining guests, they used the restaurant in the center of the lake. 

Tonight, they were heading to that floating restaurant. 

Word had gotten out that both Nathan and Amelia were back, plus the online news about Amelia’s child. Quite a few people were curious tonight. 

After all, if Nathan really had an heir, who knew if it might shake up the Harrison family’s power structure. 

The cart stopped. Nathan got out and extended his hand to help Amelia. 

Amelia glanced at his outstretched palm, ignored it, and stepped out on her own. 

The butler parked the cart to one side. Amelia followed Nathan into the three–story post–modern building. 

The entire first floor was brightly lit, with food, champagne, and pastries elegantly arranged. The restaurant’s center featured a sunken water feature, where a harpist played surrounded by flowers–pure elegance. 

The moment they walked in, they drew everyone’s attention. 

“Nathan!” 

The first to approach was a woman around 25 in a golden rose–colored dress. She hurried over and stopped in front of them. 

She nodded to Amelia, then smiled at Nathan. “It’s been forever, Nathan!” 

When she smiled, deep dimples appeared on her cheeks, making her look adorable. 

This was Nathan’s cousin, Noemi Harrison 

She’d just returned from studying at an Ivy League school in France. 

“It’s been a while,” Nathan nodded. 

A server brought over drinks. 

Amelia took a champagne flute and nodded her acknowledgment, then let the cousins catch up while she went to find somewhere to eat and wait for Lord Harrison to recover. 

But before she’d taken two steps, Noemi suddenly called out, “And you are?” 

Before Amelia could respond, Nathan said, “This is Amelia.” 

Amelia didn’t really care about introductions–she wouldn’t be around much inger anyway. 

“Oh, Amelia,” Noemi acknowledged. “I just remembered something.”
