Chapter 385
Two days later, at noon, Maggie and Glen were walking to the cafeteria for high when her phone suddenly rang.
It was a call from Franklin.
Maggie hesitated for a moment before answering, “Hello?”
“Grandma has woken up.”
Maggie’s heart lifted, and she said, “I’ll come over right now.”
“Okay.”
After hanging up, Maggie told Glen, who was waiting beside her, “Surry, have some urgent matters to attend to, so I won’t be going to the cafeteria.”
Glen glanced at the phone number on her screen, saw she really had something urgent, and said, “No problem.”
Maggie nodded and quickly left.
When she arrived at the hospital, Franklin, Isabella, Maria, Stella, Felix, and others were all there.
Seeing Maggie come in, Isabella immediately threw herself into her arms. Franklin also looked over and then turned back to speak to the elderly Mrs. Wilson, saying, “Grandma, Maggie is here.”
Mrs. Wilson, upon hearing Maggie had arrived, showed a faint smile and made an effort to look toward the door.
Maggie stepped forward and held the old lady’s hand. “Grandma.”
Mrs. Wilson gently patted her hand and tried to speak but fainted again before she could say a word.
Maggie’s expression tensed. “Grandma—”
Franklin patted her shoulder lightly and comforted her, “Grandma just woke up, her condition is still unstable, and her energy is low. The doctors said this is normal, so don’t worry.”
Hearing this, Maggie finally relaxed, though Mrs. Wilson’s complexion still looked poor. Worried it might be a false hope, she asked, “So what about Grandma now…”
Franklin replied, “Though the condition isn’t fully stable yet, according to the doctors, she should gradually improve.”
The knot in Maggie’s heart finally untied completely.
After a while, so as not to disturb the old lady’s rest, Maggie and Franklin left the room.
Maria, Franklin, and the others mostly received the news of Mrs. Wilson’s awakening on their way to lunch–they hadn’t eaten yet.
Felix had been busy with work and only visited Mrs. Wilson twice during her coma.
This time, he deliberately took a couple of days off. Seeing that no one had eaten, he said to Maggio
“Since you’re back, let’s all eat together.”
Felix had always been busy with work, whether before or after marriage, and Maggie hadn’t
much of him.
However, Felix had always treated her well.
Neither Stella nor Maria spoke up when Felix invited them; their silence mean no objection.
Over the many years Maggie was married to Franklin, she had gone out to eat with the Wilson family less than three times total.
Looking back, it felt like a long time ago.

Everyone could tell it was an excuse to derling.
Telis heinated and glanced at Franklin.
Before Franklin could speak. Isabells lowered her head in disappointment, chhing a small doll in her arms.
Tranklin did not try to persuade Maggie to stay, he simply said, “I’ll walk you
His “walking her out” was just for show–he actually wanted to say somethin
Maggie understood and said. “Thanks for the trouble
Franklin turned to Isabella and said, “Isabella, go play with your uncle for a while. Dad will be back soon.“
“I know,” Isabella replied, looking at Maggie with longing in her eyes.
Maggie saw the reluctance in Isabella’s gaze, stopped walking, and ruffled her hair. “When Mom has time, I’ll take you out to play.”
Isabella brightened up and grabbed Maggie’s hand that was on her head, saying, “Okay!”

Alguém saberia dizer o que houve com o livro, sem atualização a tempos...
Nada de episódio novo?...
Does the book stop? When are we going to get a new chapter?...
Olá, A história parou no capítulo 288? O nome do livro me gerou mais expectativas, quando ela realmente vai desprezar os dois e brilhar???...
Everytime I read new updates I am hoping to see Maggie completely moving on with her life not always checking where Franklin is up to with Julia. I think everyone reading this story by now understand that Franklin doesn't care about Julia. So what is the point of always pointing out how indifferent Franklin is to Maggie and how attentive he is towards Julia....
What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
