Chapter 374
When Maggie left the company and returned to the Miller residence, Isabella wasn’t there.
She had reportedly gone back to stay with Franklin.
Old Madam Wilson’s condition was concerning. Worried, Maggie made a habit of visiting the hospital every morning over the next few days.
Sometimes Franklin was there when she arrived: other times it was Stella or Maria.
Though Stella didn’t approve of Maggie as her daughter–in–law, she still politely thanked her for visiting the elderly lady.
Maria didn’t like Maggie much either, but now that the divorce was clearly imminent, she felt there was no point in saying anything unpleasant. So during these recent encounters,
she held her tongue.
That morning, when Maggie visited the hospital, Maria, Stella, and the three Wilson siblings–Franklin, York, and their sister–were all present.
After checking on Old Madam Wilson, Maggie was about to leave when Franklin stood
and offered,
up
“I’ll walk you out.”
“No need,” she declined, walking away without so much as a glance back.
Franklin didn’t insist.
Maria hadn’t seen Maggie in a long time, having been out of town recently. Watching Maggie walk away, completely devoid of the longing she used to show, Maria remarked to
Franklin,
“Looks like she’s really let you go.”

Franklin gave a faint smile, but before he could respond, his phone rang.
Meanwhile, Maggie headed straight to Wilson Group after leaving the hospital.
Around noon, she and several staff members were about to go out for lunch.
As the elevator doors opened on the ground floor, they happened to run into Julia approaching from the opposite direction.
Though Julia didn’t frequent the Wilson building often, she’d been there enough times that many employees recognized her.
Everyone knew she was Franklin’s girlfriend.
Because of that, the staff greeted her warmly and respectfully:
“Miss Brown.”
Julia clearly didn’t expect to run into Maggie.
At the sight of her, she instinctively paused, then shifted her gaze away while clutching her purse tightly.
As the others continued greeting her, she smiled politely and nodded, walking past Maggie
and the group to enter the elevator.
Moments later, she arrived at the top floor.
Jake and Chad saw her and also greeted her courteously:
“Miss Brown.”
She nodded back with a soft smile.
At Franklin’s office, she knocked before entering.
Seeing him at his desk, focused on work, she finally showed a genuine smile.

“Still busy?”
Franklin looked up. “Yeah.”
Though he had returned to D City days ago, this was actually his first time back at Wilson
Corp.
He’d been tied up with other matters.
Julia smiled and walked over, spotting something in his hands. It looked like an invitation. Curious, she leaned closer and asked,
“What’s that?”
Franklin replied, “The invitation to Cole’s 10th anniversary celebration. It arrived days ago–I’m only now getting a chance to look at it.
Julia’s smile froze for a split second.
Noticing, Franklin looked up. “What’s wrong?”
She quickly forced another smile and gave a dry laugh. “Cole’s already been around for ten
years?”
He chuckled. “Yeah.”
Julia looked at him, tightening her grip on her purse. After a brief pause, she asked,
“Are you going to attend?”
Franklin: “Yeah. With the collaboration between our companies, I’d make time for it even if
I didn’t have any.”
Julia gave an awkward laugh. “I see…”

Alguém saberia dizer o que houve com o livro, sem atualização a tempos...
Nada de episódio novo?...
Does the book stop? When are we going to get a new chapter?...
Olá, A história parou no capítulo 288? O nome do livro me gerou mais expectativas, quando ela realmente vai desprezar os dois e brilhar???...
Everytime I read new updates I am hoping to see Maggie completely moving on with her life not always checking where Franklin is up to with Julia. I think everyone reading this story by now understand that Franklin doesn't care about Julia. So what is the point of always pointing out how indifferent Franklin is to Maggie and how attentive he is towards Julia....
What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
