Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 702

Josefina chuckled and asked, "Why are you still here?"

"I was waiting to walk you home. The butler told me the special ingredients we ordered have arrived. Thought we could have dinner together."

Josefina noticed a woman still eyeing them and whispered, "Let's get out of here."

Oliver nodded, taking Josefina's hand as they left together.

The woman looked on, surprised to see such a handsome man with a girlfriend.

...

Josefina buckled up in Oliver's car.

"Oliver, that woman asked you for your number," she mentioned.

"I turned her down." Oliver glanced at Josefina, earnestly saying, "Josie, you're the only one in my heart."

Josefina was speechless.

"Oliver, it seems like you always find a way to sweet-talk me."

"Josie, give me a chance, and I'd share my feelings with you every day."

Again, Josefina had no words.

"Just drive, Oliver," she urged, hiding a smile.

Oliver smiled back and drove on.

...

When they arrived at Oliver's place, the butler greeted them with utmost respect. The entryway was extravagantly laid with a red carpet, and the staff lined up to welcome them.

"Madam, welcome home."

The servants on both sides of the carpet echoed in unison, "Madam, welcome home."

Josefina was puzzled.

What was the butler thinking?

She glanced awkwardly at Oliver, who just smiled.

Before she could correct the butler's mistake, he quickly said, "Oh, my apologies, Ms. Josefina. Please, don't be upset."

Inside, Oliver's pre-ordered flowers had arrived, a huge bouquet visible from the entrance.

"Josie, let's have dinner." Oliver led her to the dining room, where a Western meal awaited, complemented by a glass of red wine.

"Oliver, are you trying to ask me for a favor?" Josefina eyed the setup suspiciously.

Oliver was silent.

"You can just tell me, Oliver. You don't need to go through all this trouble. I'd help you regardless of this dinner, don't worry."

Again, Oliver didn't respond.

"Josie, don't you think this adds a nice touch of ceremony?" Oliver had researched that even dining should feel special.

That's why he had a chef prepare dinner at home today.

It was just the two of them, no need to dine out, making their time together even more special.

Josefina couldn't help but laugh, "Oliver, you didn't have to go to all this trouble. Whether it's ceremonial or not, we would still enjoy the meal. You don't need to spend so much just for me."

Just as Oliver was about to reply, a servant came in and whispered something in his ear.
