Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 651

Josefina stepped out of Livia's place, noticing it was already eight in the evening.

As she reached the ground floor, she spotted Oliver standing by his car in the distance. Seeing Oliver, Luke couldn't help but let out a derisive snort. "Oliver's buddies with Finley, boss. You gotta watch out. I'm worried Oliver's just as much of a jerk as Finley."

Josefina chuckled despite herself, neither agreeing nor disagreeing with Luke. She understood why he was so upset.

"Luke, head back home. I'll take Livia out for some shopping and fun tomorrow."

"Boss, you take care and don't go trusting men too easily," Luke warned, casting a glare at Oliver before storming off.

With Luke gone, Oliver walked over. Today, he had traded his usual suit for a black tee and jeans, topped off with a pair of white sneakers. Josefina recognized those sneakers—they were a pricey five hundred a pair.

"Josie, you spotted me even dressed down like this?" Oliver asked, noting the dim evening light.

"Of course. I don't just look at faces; I notice how you carry yourself. If someone ever tried to impersonate you, I'd know right away," Josefina said confidently.

Oliver chuckled, giving her nose a playful flick. "Smarty pants."

"Of course I am," Josefina replied, basking in her own cleverness.

Without his suit, Oliver looked youthful and vibrant, undeniably charming. Hand in hand, Oliver led her forward. "I noticed your friend isn't too fond of me. Did I do something to upset him?"

As they settled into the car, Josefina explained, "It's because of your pal Finley. You know the kind of stuff he's pulled. He hurt Livia, and I can't forgive him. I don't even want to see him."

Oliver's eyes widened as understanding dawned. He was suffering the fallout from Finley's actions. "Josie, I'd never do something like that. My heart belongs to you alone."
