Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 619

The Harrison household was buzzing with tension as Grandma Harrison wheeled herself into the living room, Mandy right on her heels. Feeling bolstered by her grandmother’s presence, Mandy’s confidence was through the roof.

“Grandma, can you believe Aunt Hattie? She’s sidelining Lena for this new kid she found. Lena’s been nothing but amazing. If it wasn’t for Lena’s therapy sessions, you’d still be bedridden, not even able to sit in that wheelchair.”

Grandma Harrison, Alivia, furrowed her brows and shot a stern look at Hattie. “Hattie, where’s Lena? She promised she could help me walk again. Without her, how am I supposed to get back on my feet? Find me a doctor!”

“Mom, Josie’s a doctor too. Maybe she can help you stand,” Hattie suggested, trusting in Josefina’s medical expertise.

“Her? A doctor? What kind of doctor? One who just talks big?” Alivia snapped, clearly irritated.

Mandy added fuel to the fire, “Auntie, you’re really out of line here.”

Hattie couldn’t help but chuckle, “Am I wrong for loving my child? Mandy, put yourself in Josie’s shoes. Wouldn’t you want your family’s support? Besides, we never kicked Lena out. She chose to leave!”

Hattie wasn’t lying; Lena had indeed left on her own accord.

The house felt lonely with just Hattie around. When she heard that Alivia and Mandy were coming over, she rushed back home.

As soon as she arrived, Alivia started her interrogation.

Hattie sat on the couch, took a sip of water, and felt a heavy weight on her chest. She hadn’t expected this visit.

Alivia’s voice cut through the air again, “Where’s Josefina? Bring her out. I need to have a word with her.”

Just then, Josefina walked in and approached Alivia with a respectful demeanor. “Hello, I’m Josefina.”

Alivia looked up, scrutinizing the young woman standing before her. With her vibrant smile and elegant features, Josefina exuded both innocence and allure.
